Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison has highlighted the “great value ” in Canberra’s trade partnership with Beijing, to deflect domestic criticism that he’s increasing tensions with China for “domestic political advantage.”
Speaking to Australian media, Morrison was responding to criticism from the country’s opposition Labor Party that he is damaging relations with China by engaging in increasingly tense rhetoric with the Asian nation without fully comprehending Australia’s interests there.

Key sectors of the Australian economy are suffering the consequences of anti-China policies (that are coordinated with the US). The current effort to restore these economic losses while still maintaining adversarial behaviours is merely based in wishful thinking. More importantly, deteriorating relations will almost certainly worsen due to broader developments, particularly the increasing probability of war between a(nother) US-led coalition and China. The more recent US war preparations for conflict scenarios against China (and Russia, Iran, the DPRK, etc.) is an aspect of the globally expanding militarism of the US-NATO-allied bloc of which Australia is a key partner and participant (evident in its involvement in sequential US-led wars of aggression). US sponsored DPP moves to violate the Anti-Secession Law of the PRC (that authorises enforcement through military mechanisms) and the US enhancement of the strike capabilities of Taiwan (against 'strategic targets' on the mainland, a development that will require a response by the PLA when limits of restraint are exceeded) indicate war is not so much an issue of if but when. As Australia will augment US operations (being integrated into US operational plans), it will at that stage experience more than economic losses. Note: US simulations and studies established US-led coalition forces would suffer profound losses and be defeated in a war scenario against China.
Australia stood up and demanded investigation in to source of virus..Then banned Huawei..Then sent gunboats into South China sea..Then reneged on belt and road..If this is how we treat our best customer whose trade we value.. One wonders how we treat our enemies! We basically spat in their eyes and threw away 200 billion worth of trade a year! Now we are whining because China decides not to buy our barley..(60 mill a year).Never mind..US (our good friend)moved in to take the contract! Not to mention US browbeat us to take the heap of nuts and bolts F35..Which if you can keep airborne.. is inferior to every other warplane on the planet! And every hour one F-35 costs $44,000 an hour to fly, or $44 million to fly for 1,000 hours, or $352 million over the 8,000 hour lifespan of the jet.
Of course Australia's ScoMo sees great value in trade partnership with China. The question however is not Australia but how China sees and will do.
Only time will tell with the fact China now holds the cards. That is unless Australia can sell more Yellow Tail Wine, lobster and barley to Captain America. Better yet to "Indian Slaves" building Hindu Temple in New Jersey.
Australia's Prime Minister Scott Morrison has highlighted the “great value ” in Canberra’s trade partnership with Beijing.. Unfortunately, this guy is equipped with a kangaroo brain.
Australian businesses have been telling him that for a long time ago.

In future, there will be a course in Australia university: "How to royally screwed up your economy". For a PM to state that he has the mandate from God to government says a lot, either he is mad or darn mad. Australia has been riding on China's economic rise and manage to come off unscathed during the 2008-2009 financial crisis. There is no geopolitical conflict whatever. To come to the current tense situation, there can only be 2 possibilities, Scomo and gang are dumb without considering the economic consequences for Australians OR these politicians, Scomo included, are on the payroll of US.
