Advice on D750 repair

My D750 fell on the ground and the command dail cap on the left shoulder of the camera popped open.

I’m thinking about sending it to Nikon USA service center for repair, but I cannot get a quote first until mailing it in….

It seems the part can be easily bought online, but I’m note sure if I can
replace it myself.

Is it worthwhile sending the unit to Nikon for repair? How is your
experience? Do they usually charge fairly on the repairs?

＋1，专业的修，质量放心。用了十年的望远镜，eyecup 掉了拿去修，寄回来一样好用。

Thx all. I decided to send the unit in and hopefully the repair charge will be reasonable.

Maybe it’s time to upgrade but d750 has been serving me well these years
and I’m not ready to let it go just yet.
