我不反对 my truth，因为 ... Truth be told, a journalist can only report what he sees and hears.
法庭上要证人 tell the truth，就是要他说（报道）他看到听到的，所以记者报道他 看到听到的，没错。My truth may be different from your truth，这很正常，因为 truth 本来就有主观的意思。法庭证人说他的 truth，记者当然报道的也是他的 truth。
至于 Alternative fact，从你以上发言看来，你比楼主与另外几人聪明很多，所以你 当然知道 truth 与 fact 的差异，所以你当然知道没有所谓的 alternative fact。 它跟 my truth 不是一回事。

my truth 就等同于my belief 或者是my sincere opinion啊。
要是是个正经的jounalist的话，该做的是report facts.
truth 这个词本来就有subjective underlying.
举个例子来说，earth is flat在大航海时代前就是个truth，但很显然不是个fact.
注意楼主的标题，他的问题不在于一个记者可否说这词，而是在于这词本身就是错的。
再回到你的 point 上，一个记者理论上应该报道完全客观的事实，但很多时候做不到 就拿你的例子，当年的记者也只能说地球是平的，这是他们主观认知，这是他们的
truth。
