On January 20, 1938 the Tombstone Epitaph published this report on the death and funeral of Quong Kee (shown) as follows:
“TOMBSTONE’S LAST CHINAMAN, QUONG KEE IS LAID TO REST IN BOOTHILL CEMETERY

在美国住了一辈子的华人，开发西部。难道华人不是美国人吗？有什么资格对华人面孔喊 滚回去？
