We planted two plums tree the first year we moved in and we got lots of plums every year -- too much to eat. For some reason, one plum tree died last year.
I would say saving extra money for 6-months is good enough. I agree with KeKe -- $20,000.
KuangMa, I think your mortgage plus insurance and property tax will be about $1,800/month if you have a 15-year loan with 20% down-pay and your property tax is similar to mine.
You might want to also include KuangKuang's tuition as well. It is about $1,000/month in my area for a good-quality daycare.

Why should you feel that way? You got a genius kid and you guys educate her well. You don't need to worry too much financially even with one income and there are so many families out there to try to get their ends meet.
After so many years, I come to realize it is very important that we spend quality time with family and enjoy our life, no matter what.

But my husband's PR case is in the backlog for almost 4 years and the backlog only has moved forward 2 months in the past 4 years. We just found out Katie's future school has a tuition increase 17.4% in August. We will probably send her to another Montessori school, which is more affordable in another area. It is 22 minutes driving away from our house but is not on the way to TaoBa's work or my school. Hope it will work out.

那里没有桃树，只有油桃，母子两人想当然地认为两样东西一个味道，就买了给我。
我真是哭笑不得。
到现在3年了，年年开花，结个小果儿到指甲盖大就掉了。到现在还没吃上。

所以每个月付款不到一千七，已经包含tax了。
打算再等一年左右再送矿矿去幼儿园（朋友的孩子三岁整去了幼儿园，还是每周只去两次，每次两个半钟头的那种，一个多月已经病了两三次了，所以我想还是等矿矿大一点。然后我自己尽量多教矿矿点东西），搬家过去了再打听幼儿园的费用。[/replyview]

买房子的时候就觉得奇怪，为什么地下室的墙角有一个洞。当时卖房子的人编了个故事，说原房主是摩擦材料厂的工人，每天下班回来身上好大灰，他太太就让他先在地下室洗个澡再进屋什么的。
这么荒诞的故事，我们也真信了。
后来就发现，每年春天的第一场雨，因为和刚化的雪水把粘土质的土壤都饱和了，就从地下室的地面渗出来，那个墙角的洞，有一个瓦制的管子一直伸到院子的边缘，能够帮助把水排出去。所以每年都进一点水，我想想反正也不打算用地下室（顶太矮，大猴子一米八的个子走要低头），就随他去了。
去年夏天做Deck，正好就在出水管的位置，我也没多想。现在明白了，一定是在挖地基的时候把那个管子给挖断了，所以这个出水口也个堵上了，昨晚看了看，水有2英寸深。好在怕水的东西大多放在架子上了，问题不太大。
这个做Deck的公司，老板去年查出癌症，公司也关了，我们也没办法找他们给解决这个问题。
这个周末打算开挖，看能不能找到那个管子，给重新接上。
现在就但愿这个水位不要再涨了，要是淹到锅炉麻烦就大了。
明天开始蚂蚁搬家，争取三天之内搞定。

昨晚到婆婆家，她告诉我，那个在英国被卡车撞死的表弟现在成了新闻人物，因为据说他是为了躲避路上的一个大坑而被卡车撞死的，现在英国的各大报纸都在报道一个从阿富汗回来的英军军官被没有好好保养的公路害死，激起很多人对政府不修路的怨恨。可怜他的妈妈，现在都不能出门了，因为门外就是各大媒体的记者，摄像机，24小时地对着他们。

壳壳别生气了，我家那个爸爸也是这样的，Kiki的照片十有八九都是我照的，所以我和Kiki的合影也非常少，因为如果一家人一起出去就都是我在照相，他根本就不管，有时候把相机交给他让他照，他磨蹭半天，娃早就跑远了！
我们现在照片也不多，好像Kiki岁生日那天也没有照片，懒妈我自己都没想起来。

家里的那个拍照的人最不划算了，永远在镜头背后，我拍了很多父子的照片呢，轮到我呢，最多就是草草一张了事，不讲究角度，光线，就是摁一下完了，还是我让他拍才拍。花生长大肯定以为爸爸和他玩的多。。。。
