And I install office 2007, photoshop, QQ, MSN, adobe acrobat 9 pro extend, skype, some softwares for my work.

I don't know what is the max number of patitions allowed... if it is 4 like you said, then you can either backup and delete those that you don't need and create a few more...
or resize the partition so that you shrink you OS drive, and assign more space to other drives..

Bbcat, what you can do is to keep OS driver intact, then delete the rest of the partions, and redistribute them the way you wish to have, i.e. C:\ (OS), D:\ (data) and E:\(data). Follow these steps to get to partition page: right click on "Computer", select "manage", then click on Diskmanagement, start choosing "delete volume". But if they are physical harddrives, I don't think you can delete them, unless you'd have to take them out and put in a bigger driver in stead.
Partition is kind of important when you try out new OS. Installing an older and more stable OS on one and new one on another one will allow you to fall back if new OS fails on starting or shows any problem what so ever.

this is the first time that I hear a "brave" comment like this from CCTV news...
there is an update called Windows validation update, if ppl are careful, then they can always choose to skip installing that, but that is very troublesome...

a harddrive can have maximum 4 primary partition. there is no limit for the partitions in a logic partition
probably the harddrive has been created with 4 primary partition. he/she has to delete one

There should not be any difference from any other machines on a Vista machine as far as partition goes.
