谢谢热心的华人网朋友！ 有层主问为什么8年级就需要学到ALGEBRA 1或者GEOMETRY，一般申请工程计算机专业的话大学比较看重高中数学和物理能学到比较高的课程，我的理解是最好在11年级能把Cal AB or BC学了，我们是9年级 ALGEBRA 2, 10年级 Pre-Cal，11年级 Cal BC, 12年级计划学线性，4年高中都有数学课程而且也有了一定难度，当然有牛娃8，9年级就学了Pre-Cal or Cal然后高中到大学去修更高阶的数学，那是另外一回事了。

我们这边honor课是带进高中成绩单，并且算入高中gpa的。不过已经这样了，以后选课小心点，尽量提高吧，半门b应该还好。

你娃初中教学水平怎么样？水平很高很卷吗？我儿子在stem私校，去年上代数1也滑铁卢了，拿了个89就是b. 今年他自己也知道要努力了，数学成绩就上来了。他以前在公校数学都是98，99. 现在的私校考卷，教的内容比公校难多了，我一点也不担忧，只要孩子吸取教训，知道自己需要努力，初中一个B，问题不大。他初中还有公校数学轻松拿a的孩子转来后数学考60-70分的呢。
