组里一个男的,坚持认为自己最优秀,其他人不理解他不是他的错,他不仅不配合组里的计划,时不时跳出来强调自己没按时是因为手头的事情最吃重。
我观察,谦虚这个美德,好像只有我们中国人才有,其他的日本也许有,东南亚好像也不是很当一回事。

还是中文博大精深,这许多英文字儿,五个中文字就概括了,无知者无畏。
谦虚当然是美德,而且是中西都认的传统美德。只是自大的年轻人居然会把这个解释成传统对自己的PUA,也是醉了。
但美国这种讲究个人的社会,谦虚没啥用。。。
谦虚是虚怀若谷。容纳,学习,而不要自满。因为谦虚,所以会虚心受教。师不必贤于弟子。可以不耻下问,可以接受批评。
正因为谦虚是美德,所以很多人假装谦虚。比如别人表扬就说,没有没有。但是心里怎么想呢?其实心里是不服气的。你批评他,他是要不高兴的。这就不是真的谦虚。
真正谦虚的人,度量很大,遇到别人的批评,第一时间不会觉得被冒犯,而是反省别人说的对不对。一个谦虚的人可以做到有则改之无则加勉。
这就是为什么谦虚使人进步。真正谦虚的人,可以一直学习,一直反省,一直进步。而假谦虚的人,只是压抑和隐藏了自己的自满,骄傲,自我感觉良好。这根本就没用。
西方人谦虚的很多。只是东方人已经把谦虚扭曲化了。也就是东方很多时候理解的谦虚只是表面的谦虚,做做样子的谦虚,翻译过来其实是虚伪。把虚伪当作谦虚,所以无法认识到真正的谦虚。
我做IT,我们组真正的大牛都是很谦虚的人。不管我是intern还是谁,发现问题告诉他们,都会很认真的跟我一起分析。10次里有8次其实我是错的。但是他们一点没脾气。还很高兴可以和我一起讨论这个问题。鼓励我多思考。2次我说对了,他们会更高兴,因为他们发现了自己的错误。
那种表面的明明知道说不知道,明明希望别人表扬却说反话,这不是谦虚。
这有点儿扯,美国做出来的这么多好公司,哪个不得靠团队执行啊。
做到好团队里的中高层了,碰到的都是人尖儿,谁还看不清楚别人的问题啊。这时候需要的是有能力和心态看清自己的问题,这样才能尽量平和客观的交流从而有效地influence其他leaders。
谦虚最重要的作用其实就是用审视外部时同样的严苛来审视自己,然后就消除了把自己和外部统一起来过程中最经常发生的盲点。

中国人所谓谦虚不过是表面的,心里一个个都自视挺高的,毕竟是一个相信人人可以做帝王的国度。相比其他文化里一直都是贵族跟百姓各安其命,野心家也有,就是比例低多了。老外也不傻,是不是真humble还是能看出来的
他们不是不知道什么是谦虚,而是不敢谦虚;正是因为啥都不行才需要做出牛逼哄哄的样子,别说谦虚了,哪怕正视自己的水平对他们而言都很难,那等于承认自己是废物。有个成语就是形容这种人的,色厉内荏。大牛才有谦虚的底气,做错了认个错也没关系,那点事情瑕不掩瑜,根本动摇不了大牛的地位。
当然,这个仅限于技术岗……政客就不是这规则。
