有人讲纽约城的energy: New York is dirty, it’s expensive, it’s loud, it’s abrasive, it’s fast, it’s massive, it’s rough, it’s mean, it’s overwhelming. It’s a really difficult place to live. But 8 million people can’t all be wrong. It’s a special place to live because there’s nowhere else on planet Earth that’s even comparable. If you want to experience excitement, diversity, opportunity, etc, to the absolute fullest extent that you can, then there’s just nowhere else to be. That’s what I think when I hear “energy”. If you can appreciate what New York is - even if it’s not your favorite - I think you can agree that any other city somehow just feels like less.

有时,纽约城的energy = chaos😄 [ I’ve learned that you really can’t explain the appeal of New York City to someone that just doesn’t get it. It’s not for everyone (just like anywhere in the world) and a lot of people simply don’t see or value the same things that others love so dearly. What you call “energy” someone else might call “chaos”.]
