The Long Island Railroad leaves from Penn Station and takes about 20 minutes to get to Jamaica Station ($5). From there, the AirTrain ($8) leaves every few minutes and connects to all terminals in about 15 minutes, depending on which terminal you''re going to. Very predictable and avoid the filthy subway and local traffic.
