Ohio woman’s miscarriage leads to ‘abuse of corpse’ case before grand jury By Alyssa Guzman Published Dec. 6, 2023, 6:17 p.m. ET Brittany Watts, 33, has been accused of the felony charge after clogging a toilet with her baby and leaving the child there while “she went on with her day,” prosecutors said. However, forensic pathologist, George Sterbenz, testified the fetus was “non-viable” due to “premature ruptured membranes” as Watts water broke early, according to WKBN. “The fetus was too young to be delivered,” Sterbenz said. The forensic pathologist added that the autopsy report found no injury to the fetus and the baby had died before passing through the birth canal. Watts says she felt the baby coming out at 22 weeks and then there was a “big splash,” according to the local outlet. Prosecutors alleged she tried to “plunge” the toilet afterward and left the baby for dead in the toilet.
Watts was handed a felony charge after the traumatizing events of Sept. 22, when she sat on the toilet at 22 weeks of pregnancy and felt the baby passing through, according to the Warren Police Department. Watts heard a “big splash,” a detective said in court last month. By the time police responded to her home, they said the fetus’ remains were stuck in the toilet. Prosecutors practically made Watts out to be a monster, saying she tried to “plunge” the fetus down the drain and left the child floating in the basin while going about her day. However, Watts’ attorneys say she’s being punished for a rather normal occurrence: The Lancet found in a 2021 report Black women had a 43 percent higher risk of miscarrying in comparison to white women. https://www.theroot.com/what-black-woman-s-miscarriage-results-in-felony-char-1851080208
Cox is currently carrying a pregnancy with virtually no chance the baby -- who has trisomy 18 -- will survive to birth or long afterward. She's said she has been denied the safest form of abortion care for her -- a dilation and evacuation procedure. The CRR would not disclose when or where Cox plans to obtain her abortion care due to safety concerns. In an interview the night before the ruling, Cox told ABC News' Rachel Scott that she was shocked to hear from her doctor that she could not get the care she wanted in Texas. https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/hearing-underway-texas-woman-court-emergency-abortion/story?id=105455849

Paxton initiated a lawsuit seeking to have the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) ruled unconstitutional in its entirety.[62] 这人就是纯坏。
Paxton sued the Obama administration over a 2016 rule by the United States Department of Labor which would have made five million additional workers eligible for overtime pay. The rule would have meant workers earning up to an annual salary of $47,500 would become eligible for overtime pay when working more than 40 hours per week.[93] Paxton has said the new regulations "may lead to disastrous consequences for our economy". Along with Texas, twenty other states have joined the lawsuit.[94]
Washington — Republicans in the Ohio state legislature are threatening to strip state courts of their authority to review cases related to Issue 1, the ballot measure approved by voters on Tuesday that established a right to abortion in the state constitution. A group of four state GOP lawmakers announced their plans in a press release Thursday, which also teased forthcoming legislative action in response to voters' approval of the reproductive rights initiative. "Issue 1 doesn't repeal a single Ohio law, in fact, it doesn't even mention one," state Rep. Bill Dean said in a statement. "The amendment's language is dangerously vague and unconstrained, and can be weaponized to attack parental rights or defend rapists, pedophiles, and human traffickers." https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/ohio-abortion-issue-1-republicans-judiciary/ ohio的gop和Wisconsin的gop一个德行, GOP talk of impeaching Wisconsin justice is latest example of delegitimizing political defeats First Read is your briefing from “Meet the Press” and the NBC Political Unit on the day’s most i

"pro life"
pro-birth

本来还能偷偷new mexico or colorado。。。

Paxton initiated a lawsuit seeking to have the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) ruled unconstitutional in its entirety.[62]

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_in_Ohio
