Initiative 82 Fee + Tipping We would like to inform you of an important update regarding our pricing structure. In response to D.C. Law 24-281, also known as Initiative 82, we have implemented a 6.5% “Initiative 82 fee” on all purchases. We want to take this opportunity to explain the reasons behind this adjustment and its implications. The “Initiative 82 fee” has been introduced to ensure fair compensation for our hardworking staff. Under the new law, the previous system of tipping and tipped minimum wage will gradually be phased out by 2027. By implementing the “Initiative 82 fee”, we are able to distribute the increased labor costs associated with the higher minimum wage across all customer transactions. This allows us to provide equitable wages for our entire team while maintaining the quality of service you expect from us. This fee is used to cover increasing operational costs. We want to assure you that the service fee is not a replacement for tips. Tipping a suggested 14-18% is still a vital part of compensation for our staff during this transition as Initiative 82 gradually raises hourly pay and eliminates the tip credit by 2027. It is designed to support our commitment to fair wages for our employees who work diligently to make your experience enjoyable. We greatly appreciate your understanding and support in this matter.
"On November 8, 2022, Washington D.C. voters overwhelmingly passed Initiative 82 or the “District of Columbia Tip Credit Elimination Act.” As a result, the tip credit for D.C. tipped wage workers will be gradually phased out by 2027, at which time employers must pay their tipped employees the applicable D.C. minimum wage rate and eliminate the use of any tip credit."

Alaska, California, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington State

Atlantis 强制小费及始是在stand 上买ice cream. on top of hotel resort fee.
Phasing out 嘛。
