Same misleading story across multiple EV sites. Tesla gets this credit, not the person using or leasing the vehicle. It's not clear whether Tesla is passing the credit onto purchaser in lower payments. Likely because they want to discourage leasing as the financial accounting for the sale is spread over the lease term and would greatly reduce their immediate revenue.
