请问持中国护照可以在日本转机吗（不是联票）

持中国护照（美国绿卡）从国内飞到日本东京（携程买票），期间不出机场，然后再从日本东京飞到美国（美联航的里程换票）。这种情况下需要日本签证吗？谢谢
