Update: We are again seeing a rapid rise in COVID cases identified in the community and among the Jefferson Health workforce. Please take the standard COVID-related precautions, and we strongly encourage booster shots as recommended by CDC. In order to maintain safe staffing levels for departments across the enterprise, we are pivoting back to the contingency plan for return-to-work of COVID-positive staff and have updated our masking/meeting guidelines effective Monday May 23, 2022. Effective today, Monday May 23, the mask/meeting guidelines and contingency return-to-work plan are updated as follows: · Staff who have tested positive for COVID can return to work on Day 6 wearing an N95 (if fit tested approved) or a KN95 (if not fit tested) until day 10 if: o They have resolving symptoms on day 5 o Fever free for the previous 24 hours without using fever reducing medications o Are not immunocompromised o Do not work on a designated floor with immunocompromised staff · Additionally an updated policy on masking* and meetings will take effect that includes: o No food/drink in meetings o Masks are required in all indoor locations except when in a private office o Proper social distancing when eating/drinking in cafeteria/break rooms o Recommendations for offsite meetings/events to include mask wearing at all times, refrain from serving food, and hold events outside when possible. *The University requirement for masking will take effect on May 31.
