到达俄罗斯边境有啥好处？现在导弹要打也打的到吧。而且不会真打起来，要打起来隔个乌克兰是很大障碍？
以前清朝也遇到过，好像是某个炮台把，大家认为炮台只要能对这海边就行了。结果日本海军陆战队登陆绕到了后面，炮台的炮兵有炮弹，但是不能支援。 同样的道理是和俄罗斯。 苏联解体前，整个防御体系是依托原有苏联边境的，所以很多固定的炮台和雷达，主要是设计向西欧方向的。解体后，也没钱维护，至少乌克兰这部分不需要防，也可以留给俄罗斯预警系统一定的时间。
如果乌克兰就有北约的部署，那么防御体系就要依托乌克兰重新搭建了，雷达啊什么的，也要重新部署。
