A 4-year-old Texas girl has died of COVID-19 — which she likely contracted from her mom, a staunch anti-vaxxer, the grieving parent said. Little Kali Cook died in her sleep at home in Bacliff on Tuesday, just five hours after she woke in the early hours with the first signs of a fever, mom Karra Harwood told local media. “Kali was perfectly fine, and then she was gone,” the shattered mother told the Houston Chronicle. “It took her so fast.” Harwood said she had tested positive the previous day, with her and her fiancé, William Tucker, already out of work because they were sick and quarantining at home. “I tried to stay away from her and didn’t want her and my other kids to get it,” she told the Galveston County Daily News of Kali and her brother and 5-month-old sister, both of whom also got infected. The mom admitted that she now regrets opposing COVID-19 vaccines. In Texas, the vaccination rate is just a fraction over 50 percent, Johns Hopkins University data shows. “I was one of the people that was anti, I was against it,” she told her local paper of the shots. “Now, I wish I never was,” she admitted.
Grandfather passed away due to old age, cause of death listed as Covid with no test. My grandfather passed away last week. He was old, 94 and had been on the decline for a while due to congestive heart failure. Absolutely no exposure to covid. He passed away at home. Was revived through CPR on the way to the ER but he was brain dead by the time he arrived due to a lack of oxygen. On his paperwork, the cause of death is listed as, “Covid-19” and say nothing about his previous well documented conditions. No Covid test was run and no autopsy was performed because of his age. It makes me so angry. When discussing funeral expenses, the funeral director was excited when she saw the paperwork, “He died of covid! So you get 9k back from the government. Now you don’t have to worry about money”. We refused the money and instead questioned why. She said, “Oh, well the hospitals just have to assume everyone that comes to the ER has Covid and that’s why they it’s listed as the cause of death”. Yet I’m supposed to believe this bullshit. That numbers are accurate when I’ve seen first hand, the fact that numbers are inflated and fake. The whole thing just makes me so sad and angry. Edit: For those of you asking for “proof”, I will post his death certificate when I have a copy. However, not sure how that will prove anything to you, being that it states, “Covid” and nothing else. 第一，英国打的是AZ。早就有报道，AZ对Delta的防感染效果一般 ，但防重症的效果不错。 这个数据是关于感染而不是重症的。
第二，似乎疫苗对年龄大的效果不好，年龄小的效果好。其实不然。 我觉得和年龄没关系， 而是和你什么时候打疫苗有关系。 英国和美国一样，年龄越大打得越早，一月到现在，抗体量减低了很多，就抵挡不住了。 年轻的打得晚， 所以保护力还有

人家圈了几个年龄组，也不算misleading吧。正确解读也不应当看圈的那两列，而是最后两列，打没打疫苗的在相应组里的感染率才是重点。
抛开其他各种表格里没有的因素，直观的解读是40-79岁里不打疫苗感染率比较低，其他年龄段打疫苗感染率比较低。至于说明了什么，仁者见仁，智者见智。
但有一点不应当忽略的，那就是应当用动态的眼光去评判疫苗的效果。未来面对的变种，每个人的身体，家庭和工作情况，都截然不同。用任何一种一刀切的手段来抗疫都是不科学，不可持续的。

好吧，就算这个故事是真的，我想知道这个故事说明了什么？ COVID没有那么严重？ 没有死很多人？COVID死亡率大大低于现在的统计？去年在川普的时候，就有很多这样的故事，当时的说法的是民主党的坏蛋们人为的把Covid 数据变高，以阻止川普连任。现在拜登在台上，他要这么做干什么？嫌自己的支持率不够低？ 啊，另一个解释是肯定是与疫苗公司勾结。可是在医院里，死亡原因是当班医生写的。记住，不是什么administrative staff。所以所有医生都有意虚报死亡原因，这个阴谋网好大呀？“Oh, well the hospitals just have to assume everyone that comes to the ER has Covid and that’s why they it’s listed as the cause of death” 一个 nobody 的funeral director的自己猜测，就当做铁证了? 是不是所有这段时间的人死亡都算COVID？有数据支持吗？

我们大人现在能做的就是打上疫苗，多注意防护，尽量减缓病毒传播。以后这样的悲剧才更少。虽然说这家孩子得确是运气不好，但说实话这种anti-vax的人可以想象到他们平时对待病毒的态度，他们对病毒的防护。他们作为家长是不是有责任只有自己知道。这个妈妈也说了，后悔没打疫苗。
