NJ Watchung vs Chatham,通勤、学区、社区安全性各方面

这两个地方地税差别大吗？哪个地方更适合养孩子 （社区孩子多，孩子活动多）。还需要去中城东通勤，进城通勤方面有本质区别吗？请熟悉的姐妹们讨论。多谢。

我朋友各种像我推荐Chatham.我觉得Chatham 挺好的。就是也不便宜。

I would have picked Chatham too as Crime index in Watchung is 8X of Chatham. Asian is only 4.8%(87% white) in Chatham vs 12.5%(76% white) Watchung. I have friends live in both places and they have bought Jersey City condos for easier commute to Hudson Yard(before the pandemic）Surprsingly, median housing price is more expensive (150K) in Watchung vs Chatham. Houshold income is also a toss up but as I said, I would have chosen Chatham any day over Watchung。
