I am losing my respect for teachers when they refuse to teach in person during COVID time. Look at other essential workers, they gear up and they go to work. Thanks to them, teachers have been able to hide in a safe heaven at home. I do not know what kind of role modeling that teachers are doing when they refuse to work. If teachers are careful with wearing PPE and practicing IP&C practices, the majority of them should be fine. Meanwhile, teachers can be COVID-19 carriers too. They need to be careful not to get kids sick. The real challenge is actually on the parents. Kids likely will not comply with PPE and IP&C measures. In other words, if kids contract COVID-19 at school, parents will have higher risk of contracting it too. Now, the real question is: how do parents keep themselves safe after kids go back to school? Does it mean that parents wear PPE at home too?

How do you know patients do not do that? Do you have any knowledge of the procedures happening in health care facilities that put health care professionals at high risk of contracting the virus? I am sorry but your response does not earn you any more respect from me.

Funny how you twist the argument. I seldom see teachers asking for PPE. Too often, they ask not to see students before they even mention PPE.
