Did he have chance to practice pretent play before? How is his English capacity? I do not think this test is tailored well towards your son. If you are concerned, you can ask for a followup test later.
It does not sound worrisome for me. My dtr language explosion was around 21 months. Her dtr said, by two years old, it is considered normal if she speaks 100 words and able to put two words together. Pretend play is fun. Have fun with your child!
看了评估的整个过程，我觉得小娃有几项是没做到的
1.眼神交流not consistent, 和医生的眼神对接基本上是一半一半，这点医生也是确认的
2. pretend play不行。给他个娃娃，医生演示怎么给娃娃洗澡，小娃不会，直接走开。也可能他不明白医生让他干啥。家里从来没有玩具doll给他
3. imaginative play不行。给他的玩具手机，演示打电话，交给他以后他没有模仿。但是家里他有个小电话，他会拿来打电话的。
4. 目前还有很多directions不懂。两个步骤的directions基本全部不懂。
但是医生说总体来说他是很social，显出很多non-verbal communication，所以不作诊断
1. 在诊所三个医生同时出来迎接我们，他很开心的和她们打招呼，wave
2. 在测试过程中，尤其是最后一个医生很nice，他很亲热地给她看手里的零食和玩具
3. 测试全程我们在场，他时不时跑过来把玩具给我们看
Speech方面医生和我们数了下有30个词，average，也不作delay的评价。但是建议我们不放心的话可以去regional center评估下可以做适当的EI
测试好因为看到他pretend play太差已经准备好fail了，听到医生说no diagnosis的时候觉得仿佛重生了一样。但是我很困惑的是有那么大的redflag她们却视而不见？会不会kaiser太松了？就怕false negative。不知见多识广的华人MM有没有这方面的经验？
