The probable cause statement now shows "during the time between when Joseph said M.E. went missing and the time he made the report he took a long drive through unfamiliar remote areas of Mid-Missouri."
After the child abuse incident, Mengqi Ji questioned Joseph about the bruising on the child's buttocks, but at the time he denied it.
He later admitted his wife was not home at the time of the incident, and he tried to distract the child from crying by pinching them.
After the incident, Mengqi Ji "wanted to contact the police about the incident, but Joseph promised he would never do it again so she gave him another chance," the probable cause statement said.
Court documents say the injury does not appear to be consistent with a pinch of tight holding but appears like a bruise that would come from some sort of strike.
Elledge appeared in court earlier today, where he pleaded not guilty. His next court hearing is scheduled for November 5.

此外，于10月26日当日，密苏里州高速巡警出动专业潜水员，对Elledge居住的公寓后面的小湖进行了拉网式搜查。但经过仔细搜素仍未发现有价值的线索。

好像真是这样的。西方文化喜欢性格强的女生，和亚裔文化正好相反。我认识一个中国女，50多了，儿子早上大学了，和中国老公在儿子上大学就离婚了，找了一个才30多的白男，个子高高的，长相中上，俩人收入一样，不存在谁养谁。俩人玩的很疯，去玩各种极限运动，而且都是女的主导的，男的就是听话的跟着。
俩夫妻的内情，外人看不透的，谁知道这对是不是其实是男的想玩，女的虽然不喜欢但是投其所好，事事给安排好了，男的啥也不操心只用出门去玩。
不能简单地说西方文化喜欢性格强的女生，无论在东西方，知道自己要什么的女生永远不亏，至于怎么要到，是技术问题加运气。。。

这个可能性比较小。结婚久了的夫妻，90%的vacation都是妻子主导的，特别是白人。可以看看身边的同事朋友，兴高采烈早早开始讨论旅行的一般是女方。男方都是一句“我下礼拜要去XXX旅行了，我老婆想要去那”带过。白人家庭的确有一丁点更母系。我觉得外在显露的性格强势的确是西方社会认同的，中国人比较喜欢弱的。至少看上去就要温柔贤惠，要不为啥吃瓜群众的电视剧里温柔可爱的永远是女主，美艳精明的永远是女二呢。女主只要继续温柔单纯想要的东西就会自己送上门。西方电影就没这个套路。
我觉得是中国人家里人之间没有隐私和boundary这两个概念。白女也很强势，但是她们会很聪明地给老公留一点隐私和余地。
当地时间2019年10月28日下午13:30，密苏里州检察院正式对Mengqi Ji丈夫提起刑事诉讼，罪名是虐待他和Mengqi的女儿Anna Elledge。公布证据如下：
1. 警方获取了夫妻之间的通讯记录，Mengqi失踪前，发现婴儿屁股上有挫伤的痕迹，因此质问其丈夫Joe Elledge，Joe起初表示否认，过了一阵子承认，推说是因为孩子过于吵闹。对此Mengqi并未报警。
2. 警方于上周末逮捕Joe Elledge后，对婴儿进行了仔细的检查，发现除了屁股外其他身体部位也发现了类似的挫伤痕迹。
3. 警方通过刑事技术手段发现在其声称最后一次看见Mengqi Ji（当地时间2019年10月8日23点30分）到报案（2019年10月9日17点30分）时间里，曾经外出过一次，驾车至密苏里中部某荒郊野岭。
目前警察正在全力追查此事，相信不久以后就会有进展。

小baby的屁股蛋子有伤痕，娃妈发现了以后质问他了。facebook上的妇女们分析说肯定是这个妹子发现他打娃，就要report或者是要带着娃离开他，他就谋杀了妹子。。。
疑犯他妈删帖前 fb里不少家庭照片都有这个妹子的， 然后妹子自己脸书里还有一张和嫌犯在田野里走着，很有爱很小清新。说明脸书不能信。

有的肯定是有的，在本地媒体Columbia Missourian里报道说，今年2月份当Mengqi发现孩子身上伤痕（孩子当时四个月）时，曾经联系过一个叫K.R.的人，K.R.让她去问丈夫，Joe Elledge一开始矢口否认，后来承认，Mengqi说也犹豫过要不要报警，后来还是算了。
这个K.R.警察虽没有透露姓名，但是据之前KOMU于上周六10月26日报道关于Mengqi父母对外孙状况担忧的报道，可以看出这个K.R.就是Mengqi的母亲Ke Ren
当地华人为其父母安顿了食宿，并且群策群力侦破此案。
Local在帮助Ji mm父母的华人可能已经联系到这个group了，他们有一些资源，可能会近期在警察的同意下组织 search party. 当地的华人有空的话也许可以和她们一起组织。。。
