In CA you just need to show them the signed Release of Liability form. As long as the date on the form predates the date on the ticket, then you should be OK.

Don't waste your time dmv online, you need to go to dmv office to release your liability asap. I don't think they can suspend your DL for a parking thicket but for sure they will send to collection which will screw up your credit.
