The Lost Articles of Obama"。

The presidential hopeful graduated magna cum laude from the Law School in 1991; his wife earned the degree three years earlier.
But the senator was still outstanding in his own right—“brilliant, charismatic, and focused,” said Wilkins, the Kirkland and Ellis professor of law. The two forged a relationship after Obama became the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.

But the senator was still outstanding in his own right—“brilliant, charismatic, and focused,” said Wilkins, the Kirkland and Ellis professor of law. The two forged a relationship after Obama became the first African American president of the Harvard Law Review.
Origins: Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama was in New York during the week of 13 October 2008, first to take part in the third and final presidential debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead on Wednesday, 15 October, then to attend the Alfred E. Smith Dinner at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel on the evening of Thursday, 16 October. According to the bit of gossip reproduced above, which was ">reported in the New York Post‘s “Page Six” column on 17 October 2008, Senator Obama’s “elitist” wife Michelle spent Wednesday afternoon at the Waldorf-Astoria gorging herself on luxurious room service dishes such as lobster, caviar, and champagne. However, Michelle Obama couldn’t have been ordering room service in New York on that Wednesday afternoon, as she was giving a speech at the Grand Wayne Convention Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana, at the time. When this fact was pointed out to the Post, it removed the gossip item from its web site and printed a retraction:
Brad Berenson ’91, a partner at Sidley Austin in Washington, D.C., recalls Obama being elected as president of the Law Review because conservative students threw their support Obama’s way once it was clear a conservative candidate would not be elected. The conservatives saw Obama as more mature than other liberal candidates—a “safer, more trustworthy choice, a more natural leader. The conservatives also felt he was politically open-minded in a way others were not,” Berenson says. And, in Berenson’s opinion, they were right. “I thought he ran Law Review very well,” he says. “He led the group in putting out a quality volume that year, and he was relatively even-handed, politically speaking. He did not discriminate against political conservatives as some of the more liberal editors would have liked him to, so I and others among the conservatives appreciated that. He also formed personal relationships with a number of conservatives, which was something the far-left editors were more loath to do.”
Educated
Ben Carson
