5. If your J waiver case experienced long term, you can call USCIS to do SR
USCIS SR Steps:
1. Call 1-800-375-5283 2. Press 1 for English 3. Press 2 for pending case 4. Press 1 for checking status of pending case 5. Input case # (WAC, LIN, SRC, etc) 6. Press 1 for confirmation 7. Press 3 to continue (report a problem) 8. Press 3 outside processing time + 1 did not hear response 9. You will be directed to Level 1 customer support – tell them your case is outside of processing time and you want to file a Service Request, then they will do it. You will get a confirmation number after calling. You will receive a response letter or email from USCIS VSC in 3 weeks (the home address and email address as you provided on DS-3035 form).Probably your case will be approved that time.

President Obama’s success has demonstrated to every immigrant in this land that America is a place where all things are possible.
However, there are always roadblocks for us, immigrants to the U.S., to achieve our American dreams. I’m writing to request your kind assistance to expedite the adjudication of our green card applications, which have beendelayed for an unreasonably long period of time by the USCIS.
I came to US in 2001 from China to pursue my XX degree at XX University. After graduation in 2003, I have been working as a XX at the US headquarter of XX corp. in XX city.
My company, XX, initiated the green card petition for me in December 2004. My wife and I submitted our I-485 applications on March 23rd, 2007 to Nebraska Service Center, USCIS. Our green card applications are classified as China Mainland-born EB-2, i.e. Employment-Based 2nd Preference, and have a priority date of 12/20/2004.
Since we submitted our I-485 applications, there have been 10 occurrences when visa were available for China Mainland-born EB-2 applicants with a priority date of 12/20/2004 according to the visa bulletins published by U.SDepartment of State. Here below is a summary of the historical visa bulletin data gathered from the website of U.S. Department of State.
For unknown reasons, our applications were left behind in these ten occurrences (shaded dates on the table above except for the upcoming February 2009 visa bulletin). During these periods, many China Mainland- born EB-2 cases with priority date much later than ours were approved.
The latest published February 2009 visa bulletin shows that visas have become available for China Mainland-born EB-2 applicants with priority date of January 1st, 2005 or earlier. This means that our applications are eligible for immediate adjudication. Under this circumstance, I sincerely hope that you can urge USCIS to adjudicate our cases without any further delays, so that we won’t be left behind for the eleventh time in the road.
The delay of green card approval has caused us a lot of inconvenience and severely impacted our lives in a negative way. We have been tax payers for seven years, and have worked hard every day to make our contributions to this country. I sincerely hope that our green card application can be treated fairly.

usually 2-3 weeks, if still no information, you need call Visa Office, number see top 3 post-202-663-1541, then dial 3, then wait. Sometimes, Visa Office can change your case number and assign you a new casenumber, this is the main reason.

6月23日美国国务院网站更新Recommendation已于6月22日发出。这期间我曾在6/15，6/18，6/22分三次分别传真2024857696催促VO办理（这个电话是我查到
WaiverReviewDivision要求材料不全的applicant补交材料所用的传真号码。需要提供
自己的case NUMBER， 姓名、DOB、联系方式，邮箱或手机号码，简短几句话询问情况
）。个人认为只有6/22那天的起了作用，那天我是在当地工作时间（美中）下午一点半左右发的传真，可能被认真看了；其余两次我都是在当地时间早上9点发出，极有可能
可能被混在一堆传真中，因为不重要直接筛掉了。

多谢回复！今天给DOS的202-647-6575打了电话，接线的人说关于从加拿大返回入境美国的事让我问CBP， 关于J1豁免会不会失效的事让我问DOS管豁免的部门。结果给CBP打电话一直忙音，877-227-5511，不知道为什么。DOS豁免的电话也没找到，就只好都
发了邮件，还没有回。希望下周能有消息吧。如果有人知道有其它电话可以打的通的，麻烦请告诉我。
现在大概知道按照30天的revalidation，应该是可以进入加拿大的，就是担心入境
的时候加拿大把我的I94收走，然后回来的时候美国海关又给我个新的号码不一样的I94，不知道会不会使豁免失效。

我是发传真去催的，但不知道是不是真的有用，反正试着传真了两次，第一次没有反应 ，第二次传真，第二天网上状态显示status inquiry，然后等了再一天就显示FR已经
sent了。我觉得你可以试试发个传真，我是发的这个号码，202-485-7696，也是在网上 考古找到的，我这个月17号刚发过，好用的。希望能帮到你，我之前也是很着急，所以

3. How to inquire your I-612 case number to USCIS Vermont Service Center (
VSC)
按照板上的电话，直接打8003755283，然后按1，2，6（lost reciept number），说明我的情况，接线人说是不是military, 我说不是，I-612, 然后VSC，结果就转到
National custom service center, 直接问姓名，日期等，然后查询。结果没有，然后就问infopass。

Then bring your passport, all documents and appointment letter showing PIN
go to USCIS local office.
5. If your J waiver case experienced long term, you can call USCIS to do SR
USCIS SR Steps:
1. Call 1-800-375-5283
2. Press 1 for English
3. Press 2 for pending case
4. Press 1 for checking status of pending case
5. Input case # (WAC, LIN, SRC, etc)
6. Press 1 for confirmation
7. Press 3 to continue (report a problem)
8. Press 3 outside processing time + 1 did not hear response
9. You will be directed to Level 1 customer support – tell them your case
is outside of processing time and you want to file a Service Request, then
they will do it.
You will get a confirmation number after calling.
You will receive a response letter or email from USCIS VSC in 3 weeks (the
home address and email address as you provided on DS-3035 form).Probably
your case will be approved that time.
6. If SR is not working, you need to get help from Congressman or Senator's office.

以通过找议员而得到更快和更合理的解决。因此，大家应该充分利用这一有利的条件，遇有相关事宜时可在适当的时候寻找他或她们帮助，以达到自己的目的。鉴于近日来不时有朋友询问找议员的相关事宜，狐狸俺现将相关信息小结如下，以供大家参考！不妥之处敬请知情者更正、补充（谢谢）。
一、寻找途径
狐狸认为寻找议员们的最佳途径是借助于网络，以下分别是寻找参议员和政议员的连接，点击后你就可以轻易地找到你所想找的议员们及其他或她们各自的主页。在议员们的个人主页上你可发现很多有用的信息，如联系方式与办法，他们能够协助解决的问题及其解决这些问题所需要的信息与材料，还有该议员名下的办公室所在地及其各个办公室的工作人员等。

你可以通过电话、电子邮件或是信函、传真等与议员办公室联系。如果你英语水平好的话，狐狸建议你用电话联系，因为这是最快捷和最省事的联系方式，由于议员办公室的工作人员都很友好，故你无需有任何担心。如若你的英语水平一般或是口语不佳，你可用邮件或信函或传真等方式联系，这些方式通常较慢，由于各议员办公室平时需要处理的信件颇多，故难免延误时间。当然，如若你的英语水平不佳，你也可以请同事或是朋友帮助你联系。与议员办公室取得联系后，他的工作人员会根据你的具体要求告诉你下一步如何办？如你是要求该议员帮助你查询绿卡审批情况，他们会告诉你先填妥相关表格（类似于国内的授权书），然后再寄送或传真至他们的办公室，以便他们能够代表你与移民打交道。
三、注意事项
１、通常应找你所在州的国会议员帮忙，而不是找你所在州的州议员或其它州的国会议员帮助。这是因为州议员通常影响力有限，其它州的议员则无法代表你行事，毕竟他们不能够代表你或者说你不在他的管辖范围内！
２、材料或相关表格一旦送出后，在适当的时候应该核实，即通过电话或是其它方式确认该议员的办公室是否收到你的材料或其它？必要时宜补送！
３、求议员办事需要有耐心或是提前量，这是因为议员办公室大多较忙，加之政府与政府部门打交道不可能没有延误，故大家一定要有耐心和提前量，以免失礼或误事！
４、寄送给议员办公室的相关信息必须准确无误，特别是Ａ＃和Receipt ＃，及姓名与通信地址等。
５、在与议员办公室工作人员交往的过程中请注意礼节礼貌！

First, I want to congratulate you and Mr. Obama for being the first African American family to become the executive residents of the White House in the history of the United States of America. President Obama’s success has
demonstrated to every immigrant in this land that America is a place where
all things are possible.
However, there are always roadblocks for us, immigrants to the U.S., to
achieve our American dreams. I’m writing to request your kind assistance
to expedite the adjudication of our green card applications, which have beendelayed for an unreasonably long period of time by the USCIS.
I came to US in 2001 from China to pursue my XX degree at XX University.
After graduation in 2003, I have been working as a XX at the US headquarter of XX corp. in XX city.
My company, XX, initiated the green card petition for me in December 2004.

For unknown reasons, our applications were left behind in these ten
occurrences (shaded dates on the table above except for the upcoming

The latest published February 2009 visa bulletin shows that visas have
become available for China Mainland-born EB-2 applicants with priority date of January 1st, 2005 or earlier. This means that our applications are
eligible for immediate adjudication. Under this circumstance, I sincerely
hope that you can urge USCIS to adjudicate our cases without any further
delays, so that we won’t be left behind for the eleventh time in the road.
The delay of green card approval has caused us a lot of inconvenience and

如果你从USCIS website 得知你的J waiver case已经批准30天，未收到I-797,马上到
USCIS local office 去Infopass, 要求USCIS马上重新寄一份copy.
如果过了一定时间没有找USCIS 查询，只能file I-824, 并且支付$405.00, 要求USCIS重新寄一份copy,这种情况属于本人丢失。

1月初----给纽约管区沈荣领事打电话，详细咨询了大使馆所需材料，并在纽约管区教
育分管处网站注册帐号。
1月中旬----准备好纽约管区要求材料（详见纽约管区教育处网站）。
1月19日----通过USPS，priority mail给纽约市管教育分管处寄出材料（tracking显示22日delivered）。
2月4日----打电话去教育分管处居然说没收到材料*—*，再次通过USPS，express mail寄出备份材料。
2月6日----电话确认教育分管处收到材料。
2月14日----教育分管处email显示初审通过，材料送至纽约驻美使馆教育处。“我们已 对您的“J-1签证豁免”申请材料进行了整理、核对，认为材料齐全，与系统填写信息 一致，基本符合豁免要求，我们已将您的申请报送至驻美教育处（组）审核。因有可能
要与有关单位联系核查，教育处（组）审核审批时间约需2-4个月。有关审理的进展情 况我们会及时用E-Mail通知您，请您耐心等待。”
2月15日----通过USPS，express mail给DOS寄出DS3035（money order在邮局直接买）。
2月26日----教育分管处email显示通过纽约审核，报送华盛顿大使馆。“您申请的“J-1签证豁免”已由您所在馆区教育处（组）审核通过，申请将于近日报送中国驻美国大
使馆教育处进行审批。”
3月12日----DOS网站可查询到case number。
3月29日----中国大使馆网站查询到3月份已递交NOL到DOS。
4月10日----DOS网站查询到no objective statement。
4月24日----DOS网站更新信息 ‘Favorable Recommendation’。
5月3日----收到DOS和USCIS寄的两封信，photo copy of Favorable Recommendation和I797C。
5月16日----USCIS网站显示Post Decision Activity。万里长征走完了最后一步，估计 一周左右就会收到传说中的I797了。
整个waiver历时将近半年，期间各种等......。祝各位xdjm早日waiver。

usually 2-3 weeks, if still no information, you need call Visa Office,
number see top 3 post-202-663-1541, then dial 3, then wait.
Sometimes, Visa Office can change your case number and assign you a new casenumber, this is the main reason.

说说问题：
1。本人政府单位工作，需要Sponsor Views，单位收到request之后，需要审核offer
Letter，并且要求从事专业方向一致，有明确开始时间。这两条有点不满足，因为

2。DOS给了FR之后一直不Send，打电话发邮件问，都说send了，一个星期后收到FR，可 惜是别人的，不是本人的（用了我的信封）。马上再次发邮件，发传真，终于她们意识
到错了，重新send FR给USCIS，网上状态更新。
对于需要Sponsor Views的提个建议，严格按照要求，和HR商量准备你的Offer Letter。
对于需要联系DOS的，最好是发邮件，发邮件反馈最快，一般2天就会有反馈，而且会进
行下一步。
USCIS也可以催，我打电话过去申请加急，不需要费用，只需要你的理由，他们承诺2周 内完成，结果当天就有结果了。当然USCIS一般也不会很慢的

之后就再也没消息也没收到copy of FR，由于搬过家，虽然设置了USPS的forward功能但
心里没底。故打过3次电话给USCIS要Case number。介绍一下经验。
拨800-375-5283，欲接通人工服务（8am-6pm），按1、1、1、2、2。
首先明确，在这个level的服务员无法提供reciept number的查询，所以说明情况，希望
他/她转接到下一个level，我们在USCIS的服务表格为I-612，虽然咱们没有直接file这个表格。（一开始没懂，浪费了很多口舌）
下一个level往往要hold 30分钟，USCIS提供call back业务，推荐！
自动识别你的电话号，说出你的名字，一旦轮到你，他会呼叫你。
我遇到的这个level的服务人员很清楚I-612 J1 waiver的情况，直接要了全部的个人信息，去库里查，查到后会告诉你当前状态，注意记录和确认case number。开头三位应该
是EAC，加十位数字。
说一下给各位做个参考：我的case是DOS Recommendation Sent Aug 19
根据reciept number查询显示USCIS在 Aug 26寄出了I-797C，但我目前还未收到，目前case正在initial review。

recommendation letter发给了VSC,他就给了我一个VSC的email地址,让我发email询问,并且说VSC会在21天内给回复.我问他是否需要做infopass,他说即使做infopass,也会需要你的reciept number.
