While Seattle-based Amazon said it doesn't plan to reopen the "HQ2" search, an Amazon spokesman told the Business Journal the company will follow through on its plans in Seattle but "nothing further than the growth already planned."
The company has aggressively grown its presence in Bellevue, as well, where it has leased more than 1 million square feet in downtown. Amazon's spokesman has not responded to a request for comment on how the New York decision would impact Amazon's plans in Bellevue. Amazon is closing in on a deal to buy property in Bellevue for the first time as the company cancels plans to open a 25,000-person office in New York, according to two commercial real estate sources. The Business Journal previously reported Amazon was among potential buyers for the 10-story Bellevue Corporate Plaza property at 600 108th Ave. N. A source with indirect knowledge said Thursday that Amazon has put down non-refundable earnest money for the property. Amazon has yet to respond to a request about its plans to buy the property. The company said Thursday it has withdrawn plans to establish a 25,000-person office in New York following opposition from politicians there. The office was the result of Amazon's search for a second headquarters location, which it split between New York and northern Virginia. Amazon said will not reopen the search and plans to hire across its 17 offices. Amazon has leased more than 1 million square feet in Bellevue. The company in August leased Expedia's current 400,000-square-feet headquarters and said at the time it had 2,000 employees in Bellevue and planned to add capacity for an additional 2,500 employees by 2020. Amazon is also moving into Bellevue's new, 354,000-square-foot Centre 425 building and at least 280,000 square feet at the Summit III tower nearby. Amazon hasn't responded to a request to confirm the Summit III lease, but it was listed in the Broderick Group's most recent report. West of Lake Washington, Amazon has 8.7 million square feet in Seattle, according to a Kidder Mathews report last fall, and the company plans to occupy an additional 4 million square feet in the city by 2020. Amazon plans to have 55,000 employees in Seattle by 2022. Amazon told the Business Journal on Thursday that it has no new growth plans in Seattle as a result of its withdrawal from New York.

之前闹丑闻的时候,VA州长是被迫签了conform state tax to federal tax的文件,本来VA州长不想conform to federal tax,这样state可以多收很多tax
VA政府都挺支持的,不光是州长那几个,北维Fairfax 和Loundon county的当地政府 当初都是很积极参与的,州长就算下台事情也会办的~

村也贵,身边朋友刚在Arlington 旁边的McLean 买了个0.5亩地的破房子,准备推倒重盖,光地就是101万
不觉得村,北纬好的地方太多了,密度不小,店餐馆都很多,当然你要硬和曼哈顿比,哪里都村

在网上看到一些右派去大学演讲,大学生提的问题都很可爱。他们中很多都认为资本家要求着劳工,不然谁去生产啊?他们认为,世界上那么多人都不用吃饭,就等着资本家来分红利才勉屈尊贵“替”资本家干活。现在好些大学生都生活在这种幻想里。读了马克思,知道剩余价值以后,就开始这种思维了。资本家就是来剥削劳动力的。其实你不干,想干的人多着呢。大家要吃饭,资本家不开工,真正损失的是劳工,不是资本家。资本家不生产还可以去炒股,炒地皮。
他们根本不想工作好吧?华人的脑回路和吃福利的不一样

它家官报新闻是这么说的,当然我也觉得很可能有别的原因 就是顺杆下了~ 但是政府里的确有不少官员也反对,也的确有民众几次抗议闹事,要是有30%反对的也不少了,相比另外两个地方的确不够受欢迎~
