Who is requiring this?
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) requires these standards for federal education eligibility and accountability reports. The California Department of Education (CDE) is also requiring local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools to collect and report data consistent with these federal requirements.
Can we put space on our form for parents/guardians to indicate “Declined to answer” under the Race question, or can we put “You may leave this question blank if you answered Yes to the Hispanic question” in our instructions for the race question? No. You may not put a “Declined to answer” field on your form for the respondent or parent/guardians to use, nor may your instructions tell the respondent or parent/guardians that they may leave the answer blank if they answered yes to the Hispanic question.

Contact the local school board. Contact each of the board members individually. They have to run for election every few years. If they refuse to help, consider thinking ahead to the next election. You can support a candidate who does care, or you can run a challenge yourself. Research ballot access laws to learn how far in advance you need to register to run, and how to properly financially register and handle a campaign fund.
Cupertino Union School District Mountain View Whisman School District Palo Alto Unified School District Fremont Unified School District If it’s outside the control of the school board, it could be because of state law. In California, you have a State Assembly Member and a State Senator. Contact them. Just as above, if they refuse to help, consider thinking ahead to the next election, supporting a candidate who says they will care, or run a challenge yourself. Remember that even though California is a Democratic super-majority, the recent changes to the election law allow, in many cases, for a runoff between the top two Democrats, and you can pick the one more favorable to your cause. You might also try to contact the State Superintendent of Public Instruction, who is elected every four years.
Your California Legislator State Superintendent of Public Instruction Some issues might even be outside the control of the state, because they are set at a Federal level. Consider contacting Betsy DeVos, who President Trump has nominated for Secretary of Education, after she is confirmed by the Senate (this document was written on 2/4/2017). Elaine Chao, Secretary of Transportation, has also been a forceful advocate for Asian rights, and might be a good resource. If there’s controlling federal law, then you need to turn to your U.S. Representative and Senator. Same as above, if the current official does not care, you can support the challenger or run a challenge yourself.

瞎了吗 看图明明是select one or more
