Wow! MN Housing Board to Pay Monthly Rent for Migrants Traveling Back to East Africa
The Minneapolis Housing Authority passed legislation this week that will allow migrants to skip their monthly rent in Minnesota when they travel back home to East Africa. The move was sought by local East African immigrants. Immigrants traveling for 30 to 90 days could apply for a hardship which will reduce their rent to $75 a month while they are gone.
The Star Tribune reported:
Public housing residents in Minneapolis will no longer need to pay their normal monthly rent when travel abroad erases their income, a change particularly sought by East African immigrants.
The board of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority approved this week reverting to its previous policy of collecting only minimal rent during extended absences. The change takes effect once approved by federal housing officials, which is expected by year’s end.
Abdi Warsame, a City Council member, told the board that the policy in place for the past five years works a particular hardship on elderly East Africans who must save for long periods if they want to visit their homelands. He said that many receive federal Supplemental Security Income, which is halted when the recipient is outside the United States.
Yet the policy required people to keep paying rent, which is income-based. Travelers gone for 30 to 90 days could apply for a hardship, which meant that they paid the minimum $75 monthly rent during their absence, but were required to make up the difference between that and their normal rent over the next year or two.

Milwaukee County, WI Sheriff David Clarke spoke Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” about the media’s treatment of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.
“The liberal mainstream media is dwindling into irrelevancy,” Clarke told host Sean Hannity. “Donald Trump understands this is a dragon that has to be slayed. The liberal mainstream media, these rags, realize that this is their last stand to have any influence over the American public as it relates to presidential politics.”
Clarke then likened Trump’s response to the media to Muhammad Ali’s “rope-a-dope” strategy.

THE BIG IDEA: COLUMBUS, Ohio—Being a field organizer for Hillary Clinton at The Ohio State University means being rejected a lot.
Tyler Hoisington, 24, is one of four full-time, paid staffers focused on registering new voters on the campus of this battleground state’s flagship university, which has 65,000 students. Over more than two hours yesterday, he knocked on every door on both sides of four city blocks, including a few multi-level apartment buildings. Despite his best efforts, he could not get a single person to either register to vote or sign a card committing to support the Democratic nominee for president.
It was a stark illustration of apathy and ambivalence five weeks before Election Day. Millennial voters, who were so instrumental in Barack Obama’s victories, are lukewarm at best about Clinton, even four months after she vanquished Bernie Sanders.
Obama held his first rally of the 2012 reelection campaign here on the campus of OSU, drawing a crowd of 10,000 – mostly students. That thrill is gone.
Two African American females were smoking cigarettes on their front porch when Hoisington asked if they were registered. “I keep that kind of thing to myself,” she said coldly, turning away to continue her conversation.
Two guys down the street answered and said they are excited to vote – for Libertarian Gary Johnson.
An African American upperclassman came to his front door bleary-eyed and shirtless. He said he was not registered. Hoisington encouraged him to sign up, explaining that it would take just one minute to fill out the form on his clipboard. “Nah, man, I’ll pass,” he said. The organizer pressed: “Are you sure? It’s really important.” The potential voter paused for a moment, as if about to relent. “Yeah, man,” he said. “I’m sure.”
“That doesn’t happen too often,” Hoisington said after the door closed. “Most people just lie and say they’re already registered.”
The onetime high school wrestler, who has grown out his hair, stepped over broken bottles and maneuvered around beer pong tables outside grungy off-campus row houses. Four fraternity brothers walked by on the street. One carried a 12 pack of beer. Another held a can of Natural Light. Hoisington introduced himself. “I’m all in for Donald Trump, man,” one of the young men said before belching. The organizer shrugged it off and kept walking.
And so it went. This is the unglamorous drudgery of field work, but it is also the way to win. The fight to re-activate the Obama coalition is playing out not just in rallies and with television ads but in door-to-door conversations like these.
Clinton’s campaign has more than 300 paid staffers in this state alone, fanned across 57 offices, vastly more than Trump’s campaign, which will not even reveal its number.
“Striking out,” Hoisington said, as he slogged from one street to the next. “This is the slowest start I’ve had.”

The Minneapolis Housing Authority passed legislation this week that will allow migrants to skip their monthly rent in Minnesota when they travel back home to East Africa.
The move was sought by local East African immigrants.
Immigrants traveling for 30 to 90 days could apply for a hardship which will reduce their rent to $75 a month while they are gone.
The Star Tribune reported:
Public housing residents in Minneapolis will no longer need to pay their normal monthly rent when travel abroad erases their income, a change particularly sought by East African immigrants.
The board of the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority approved this week reverting to its previous policy of collecting only minimal rent during extended absences. The change takes effect once approved by federal housing officials, which is expected by year’s end.
Abdi Warsame, a City Council member, told the board that the policy in place for the past five years works a particular hardship on elderly East Africans who must save for long periods if they want to visit their homelands. He said that many receive federal Supplemental Security Income, which is halted when the recipient is outside the United States.
Yet the policy required people to keep paying rent, which is income-based. Travelers gone for 30 to 90 days could apply for a hardship, which meant that they paid the minimum $75 monthly rent during their absence, but were required to make up the difference between that and their normal rent over the next year or two.

Milwaukee County, WI Sheriff David Clarke spoke Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” about the media’s treatment of Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

所洗脑了。
1. 特朗普将会在俄亥俄、佛罗里达和宾夕法尼亚获得胜选，到那时整个总统大选
也会尘埃落地。
在笔者看来，美国国内支持特朗普的选民数量多到难以置信，但他们却无法表达自
己的观点。从政治角度来说，公开表达支持特朗普被认为是错误的行为，如果真有人这
么多，那么他会立刻受到惩罚甚至被贴上“种族主义者”的标签。有意思的是，许多特
朗普的支持者并不同意他所说的话，他们只是简单认为特朗普在对待企业界方面会做的
更好。
比如，著名的激进投资者卡尔-伊坎在接受记者采访时就表示：“如果问我是否完全同
意特朗普所说的话，那么答案一定是否定的。如果问我特朗普是否在有时会说些愚蠢的
话，答案则是肯定的。问题是这些问题我根本不在乎，我在乎的是美国经济前景能否变
得更好，特朗普相比希拉里能否给予企业界更多优待。
换句话说，许多特朗普的支持者将关注点放在更多实际且重要的议题上，而将那些

2. 2016年7月美国股市以一个新的牛市正式启程，不过其中技术性因素成为市场表
现积极的主要推手。与此同时，有部分观点认为市场还存在着崩盘的可能性，分析师都
担心美国股市将重蹈1994年-1995年间的覆辙。
想象一下这样的场景，如果特朗普能够成功实施他所说的那些为促进美国经济和GDP
发展和增长的措施，那么市场会给出什么样的反应？目前外界预测美国GDP今年的增幅
或在1.3%左右，对此特朗普给出的数字为4%，笔者认为后者的预测有些过于激进。
折中的观点是，100至150个基本点的增长对于美国经济而言会产生十分深远的影响

美国股市眼下就像一头野兽，但它也有着自己的逻辑思想。笔者还预计未来特朗普将赢
得总统大选，而在这之后美国企业的从业环境将更为舒适进而使得未来数年的美国经济
能够蒸蒸日上。
最坏情况在这：
美国主流媒体因为看不上特朗普，所以就极力营造出一旦特朗普当选总统美国股市
波动性将大幅提升的印象。笔者认为无论最终谁将胜选，其所产生的影响将会同英国脱
欧公投所产生的影响十分相似，市场对此将给出下意识的反应。
在展望市场未来发展的道路上，千万不要被政客们所制造的信息所蒙蔽了双眼。如
果特朗普最终当选美国总统，请停止听信媒体所制造的片面信息。
不但努力让老百姓了解自己，消除误会，赢得信任，而且更重要的是接触各个角落各类群体，特别在边缘底层那些，倾听他们的不满，再利用他自己的话语权把他们的声音传递出去。I'm your voice。
因此他在面对希拉里辩论时提出的质疑，问责，身后是有强大的后盾的。每个问题和诉求后面都有好大的民意。不是希拉里那种要不就是个人攻击抹黑对手，要不就是含混其辞扯虎皮拉大旗的收买人心，不外乎就是针对黑人，妇女，墨裔（非法移民），穆斯林（难民）。
希拉里辩论时还抢先打中产阶级的牌一语带过，好像还提到了残障人士却忘记提LGBT群体。每次她面对问责闪烁其词或者趾高气扬，老百姓想到的只是高高在上的政客在面对自己的诉求时候的傲慢自大和无知。即便川普在口头辩论上占了下风，老百姓感同身受，跟被政客戏弄了一样，更生气了。看看川普在辩论后的2天，民众捐款井喷1千8百万！
毕竟有几个普通老百姓能诡辩过像希拉里这种职业政客的？希望未来投票的大多数是关注实际问题和期待解决办法的老百姓，因为面对川普他们有渠道把自己的不满和诉求传递出去，并且有一定的信心和期待，毕竟川普搞经济是有track record的。而不是那些净想着坐享其成看谁给自己画的饼大就投谁的free riders。

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Being a field organizer for Hillary Clinton at The Ohio State University means being rejected a lot.
Tyler Hoisington, 24, is one of four full-time, paid staffers focused on registering new voters on the campus of this battleground state’s flagship university, which has 65,000 students. Over more than two hours yesterday, he knocked on every door on both sides of four city blocks, including a few multi-level apartment buildings. Despite his best efforts, he could not get a single person to either register to vote or sign a card committing to support the Democratic nominee for president.
It was a stark illustration of apathy and ambivalence five weeks before Election Day. Millennial voters, who were so instrumental in Barack Obama’s victories, are lukewarm at best about Clinton, even four months after she vanquished Bernie Sanders.
Obama held his first rally of the 2012 reelection campaign here on the campus of OSU, drawing a crowd of 10,000 – mostly students. That thrill is gone.
Two African American females were smoking cigarettes on their front porch when Hoisington asked if they were registered. “I keep that kind of thing to myself,” she said coldly, turning away to continue her conversation.
Two guys down the street answered and said they are excited to vote – for Libertarian Gary Johnson.
An African American upperclassman came to his front door bleary-eyed and shirtless. He said he was not registered. Hoisington encouraged him to sign up, explaining that it would take just one minute to fill out the form on his clipboard. “Nah, man, I’ll pass,” he said. The organizer pressed: “Are you sure? It’s really important.” The potential voter paused for a moment, as if about to relent. “Yeah, man,” he said. “I’m sure.”
“That doesn’t happen too often,” Hoisington said after the door closed. “Most people just lie and say they’re already registered.”
The onetime high school wrestler, who has grown out his hair, stepped over broken bottles and maneuvered around beer pong tables outside grungy off-campus row houses. Four fraternity brothers walked by on the street. One carried a 12 pack of beer. Another held a can of Natural Light. Hoisington introduced himself. “I’m all in for Donald Trump, man,” one of the young men said before belching. The organizer shrugged it off and kept walking.
And so it went. This is the unglamorous drudgery of field work, but it is also the way to win. The fight to re-activate the Obama coalition is playing out not just in rallies and with television ads but in door-to-door conversations like these.
Clinton’s campaign has more than 300 paid staffers in this state alone, fanned across 57 offices, vastly more than Trump’s campaign, which will not even reveal its number.
“Striking out,” Hoisington said, as he slogged from one street to the next. “This is the slowest start I’ve had.”

she is suffering from arrhythmia (an abnormal heart beat), a leaking heart
valve, chronic low blood pressure, insufficient blood flow, a tendency to
form life-threatening blood clots, and troubling side effects from her
medications.
Hillary has arranged her own secret medical visits to the New York-
Presbyterian Hospital, where she arrives through a private entrance out of
public sight and where she can rely on her doctors’ discretion not to speak
to the media.
Her doctors have prescribed Coumadin (a blood thinner) and a beta blocker to
treat her arrhythmia and heart-valve problem. However, these medications
have the side effects of making her drowsy and tired, and lowering her blood
pressure, leading to frequent bouts of light-headedness and fainting spells.

The New York Times executive editor said during a visit to Harvard in September that he would risk jail to publish Donald Trump’s tax returns. He made good on his word Saturday night when the Times published Trump tax documents from 1995, which show the Republican presidential nominee claimed losses of $916 million that year — enough to avoid paying federal income taxes for as many as 18 years afterward.
Federal law makes it illegal to publish an unauthorized tax return:
It shall be unlawful for any person to whom any return or return information (as defined in section 6103(b)) is disclosed in a manner unauthorized by this title thereafter willfully to print or publish in any manner not provided by law any such return or return information. American political observers are shocked by the lack of news in WikiLeaks’ early morning press conference after it was hyped for days.

One spreadsheet appears to detail how much banks have given to lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee. Another document shows how much banks gave to Democratic lawmakers and how much those banks received from the 2008 bailout bill to stabilize the financial sector, known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP.
“It looks like big banks and corporations agreed to donate to the Democrats a certain percentage of the allocated TARP funds,” wrote Guccifer 2.0.
Some cybersecurity experts believe Guccifer 2.0 is an invented identity that the Russian government is using to release files it obtains through hacking.
