Secretary of State Bloomberg? It’s not unthinkable.
A confidant of Mike Bloomberg floated to a top Hillary Clinton adviser the idea of giving the former mayor the Cabinet post, according to a batch of e-mails released Saturday by WikiLeaks.
Clinton aide Neera Tanden asked Howard Wolfson — a current Bloomberg consultant and former deputy mayor — in a June 3, 2015, e-mail whether the former mayor was seriously considering a run for president.
Tanden had spotted a tweet by top Bloomberg strategist Kevin Sheekey citing a June 2 Post column by Michael Goodwin that revealed that New York Democrats had approached Bloomberg to challenge Clinton.
“What is up?” Tanden asked Wolfson, who worked as Clinton’s spokesman during her 2008 presidential bid.
The message was sent eight minutes after Sheekey’s tweet linking to Goodwin’s column was posted.
Wolfson, who hosted a fundraiser for Clinton in May, sought to reassure Tanden that Bloomberg didn’t seek to challenge the former first lady.
“I find the whole thing laughable,” he responded.
“Ok good I was worried you were losing it,” Tanden replied.
She then asked what Bloomberg would want to do in a Clinton administration.
Tanden floated an ambassadorship to China but worried it might be “way too small” for the media magnate, her e-mail said.
Wolfson countered with a bigger title: secretary of state, but mused that it “ain’t gonna happen.”
But the Clinton camp was dead serious about the exchange and Bloomberg’s ambitions. The entire e-mail chain was forwarded by Tanden to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
She added the note, “Something to know for down the road.”
Wolfson backed off his earlier e-mails, telling The Post on Saturday that the only job in politics that interested Bloomberg was the presidency.
“I think Mike made it pretty clear that the job he wanted was the top job,” Wolfson said.
Bloomberg thinks Henry Kissinger would make a good choice for secretary of state, Wolfson added.
The three-term mayor has lusted after the White House since 2006 and came closest to launching a bid in January when he asked his advisers to analyze the viability of an independent run.
But Bloomberg backed down two months later, saying in an announcement, “If I entered the race, I could not win.”
Clinton reached out to Bloomberg shortly after his decision, according to a March 11, 2016, e-mail from Clinton aide Huma Abedin to Podesta, which WikiLeaks released Saturday.
The Democratic presidential nominee has revealed little about who she would stuff in her Cabinet, saying only that she would fill half the positions with women and consider tech leaders for posts.
The e-mails released Saturday contained thousands of communiques between top aides, including excerpts from Clinton’s speeches to Wall Street banks, discussions on how to defend the former secretary of state’s use of a private e-mail server, and early plans to lay the groundwork of her 2016 run.
In one e-mail chain, Clinton aides whined that the press was not taking the Democratic nominee’s apologies for using a private server seriously.
“Everyone wants her to apologize. And she should. Apologies are like her Achilles heel,” Tanden said in a September 2015 e-mail to Podesta.
Podesta, in a August 2015 e-mail to Clinton, urged her to “bury the hatchet” with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson even though he endorsed Barack Obama over Clinton in 2008 and “can be a d- -k.”

希团队这一招表面看似是＂公平＂地两边都骂，给人以无倾向性的公正感觉，但其本意却是希团队退而求其次, 对川普暗藏极大杀伤力. 属于杀敌１０００，自损２００的好买卖．
第一, 对于两边的铁粉群, ＂两个烂苹果＂的说词, 均都不会改变他们的意向．
第二, 因为希拉里知道，对于痛恨自己，厌恶自己的那些人, 根本不可能有希望争取到他们，因此只要能使他们不去支持对手，就是胜利.
具体手法就是：来个轻伤自己却害人入骨的损招，对那些摇摆中间派, 特别是痛恨希拉里的那些人, 他们本来完全有可能转投川谱, 但 ＂两个烂苹果＂的宣传却能让他们（１）放弃投票等于不帮助川普)（２）投票给第三方(等于变相地不帮助川普）
第三, 为选票大规模作弊作准备，如果大家(选民）百分百地参与投票，他们作弊难度将较大(还是能，例如 改选票)，但至少他们不能通过增加额外的假选票来作弊（总不能搞出最后的投票率达到１１５％的笑话吧）. 但是，假如投票率不到１００％，他们可以通过增加假选票来轻易改变结果,（例如：实际投票人数只达到６０％，他们就有增加４０％假票的余地了)
第四，＂烂苹果之说＂目的就是把他降格到与她成一类. 而这两人根本不是同类, 区别在于：维护者VS毁坏者．
美国这座大厦, 希拉里一方面要增加更多的白蚁般的吃福利族来从内部啃噬大厦结构；另一方面疯狂地引入更多占领族入侵来直接拆毁大厦整体. 所以，希是个毁坏者，３０年拆毁经验确实丰富, 越多的经验,拆的也越快.

A confidant of Mike Bloomberg floated to a top Hillary Clinton adviser the idea of giving the former mayor the Cabinet post, according to a batch of e-mails released Saturday by WikiLeaks.
Clinton aide Neera Tanden asked Howard Wolfson — a current Bloomberg consultant and former deputy mayor — in a June 3, 2015, e-mail whether the former mayor was seriously considering a run for president.
Tanden had spotted a tweet by top Bloomberg strategist Kevin Sheekey citing a June 2 Post column by Michael Goodwin that revealed that New York Democrats had approached Bloomberg to challenge Clinton.
“What is up?” Tanden asked Wolfson, who worked as Clinton’s spokesman during her 2008 presidential bid.
The message was sent eight minutes after Sheekey’s tweet linking to Goodwin’s column was posted.
Wolfson, who hosted a fundraiser for Clinton in May, sought to reassure Tanden that Bloomberg didn’t seek to challenge the former first lady.
“I find the whole thing laughable,” he responded.
“Ok good I was worried you were losing it,” Tanden replied.
She then asked what Bloomberg would want to do in a Clinton administration.
Tanden floated an ambassadorship to China but worried it might be “way too small” for the media magnate, her e-mail said.
Wolfson countered with a bigger title: secretary of state, but mused that it “ain’t gonna happen.”
But the Clinton camp was dead serious about the exchange and Bloomberg’s ambitions. The entire e-mail chain was forwarded by Tanden to Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
She added the note, “Something to know for down the road.”
Wolfson backed off his earlier e-mails, telling The Post on Saturday that the only job in politics that interested Bloomberg was the presidency.
“I think Mike made it pretty clear that the job he wanted was the top job,” Wolfson said.
Bloomberg thinks Henry Kissinger would make a good choice for secretary of state, Wolfson added.
The three-term mayor has lusted after the White House since 2006 and came closest to launching a bid in January when he asked his advisers to analyze the viability of an independent run.
But Bloomberg backed down two months later, saying in an announcement, “If I entered the race, I could not win.”
Clinton reached out to Bloomberg shortly after his decision, according to a March 11, 2016, e-mail from Clinton aide Huma Abedin to Podesta, which WikiLeaks released Saturday.
The Democratic presidential nominee has revealed little about who she would stuff in her Cabinet, saying only that she would fill half the positions with women and consider tech leaders for posts.
The e-mails released Saturday contained thousands of communiques between top aides, including excerpts from Clinton’s speeches to Wall Street banks, discussions on how to defend the former secretary of state’s use of a private e-mail server, and early plans to lay the groundwork of her 2016 run.
In one e-mail chain, Clinton aides whined that the press was not taking the Democratic nominee’s apologies for using a private server seriously.
“Everyone wants her to apologize. And she should. Apologies are like her Achilles heel,” Tanden said in a September 2015 e-mail to Podesta.
Podesta, in a August 2015 e-mail to Clinton, urged her to “bury the hatchet” with former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson even though he endorsed Barack Obama over Clinton in 2008 and “can be a d- -k.”
Clinton’s campaign Saturday did not address the veracity of the e-mails WikiLeaks has released, but blamed the Russian government for the hack and compared the cyberspying to the Watergate break-in.

Stay on offense not defense, just like the second debate. 像那几个女人的指控，就说这些都是false accusations，保留法律追究权利，不要太过多解释，这样就等于take baits, 重点已经转移了，希团队达到了目的，解释就是处在防守中，已在下风，且言多语失，给媒体创造新素材。那么，我们的重点是什么？不花时间去过多纠缠这些对自己不利的东西，就像二次辩论，反攻对方的弱点，一句话，不要被希拉利团队牵着鼻子走，四两拨千斤。我估计还会有莫须有的，其它乱七八糟的东西出来，我们知道他现在take slings and arrows，非常非常不容易。We stand by him.

Campaign platforms/messages 重点应是大多数人最关心的：工作机会；非移（边境安全）；法律；秩序；对绿教人ban /严格vetting（国家安全）等，用数据说话，引用泄露邮件，摆事实。如：有关引入绿教在德国的邮件描述，6%的人口，70%的犯罪率，left trail of the misery and mayhem，就这样希还要在FBI都承认无法过滤的情况下，550%将他们引入美国。大概数字也许有些出入。同时，还要指出，奥巴已经引入多少了的数字。再如，希有关开放边境，建立hemisphere的邮件，试想墨西哥，中美洲，南美洲国家的人都去哪里？都是什么人？得多少人？所有的这些，要唐，一直唐。。。
号召所有有良知 爱美国的各族各裔，各党各派的人，美国已到关键的时刻，希是在快马加鞭，头也不回的引导美国在错误的路上奔跑。覆巢之下 ，焉有完卵，民主党们底层的吃福利，开放边界后，你能吃多久，能吃多长时间？中高层的，没有法律，只有独裁的社会，总会被和谐，被牺牲，被出卖，还有伴君如伴虎，想想那些body count吧。

5月4日，就在最后一名对手卡西奇退选、特朗普成为假定提名人的次日，瑞恩宣称，他没准备好支持特朗普，他认为特朗普还没有获得提名。他在接受采访时表示，他认为共和党人希望具有真正保守主义价值观的候选人，他怀疑特朗普是否符合这一标准。
瑞恩的表态一经发布，刚刚齐声宣布特朗普成为“假定提名人”的美国媒体口风立转，再次集火唱衰特朗普。甚至有媒体报道，瑞恩在私下里表示他认为克鲁兹还未退选，希望7月的党代会开僵局会议（根据共和党党规，众议长瑞恩是党代会的主持人），无视选民初选结果重新选举共和党提名人。
一时之间，各大媒体议论纷纷，从各个角度为“换床”大业献计献策。可以说，5月的形势远较现在严峻，毕竟当时初选并未结束，僵局会议在制度上也确有召开的可能。
二、特朗普是如何团结瑞恩的？
如果只看许多中国媒体的报道，特朗普常常以这样奇怪的故事情节度过“换床”危机：以瑞恩等人为代表的共和党当权派一次次出手打压，特朗普风雨飘摇，眼看就不行了。但是，突然有一天，我们发现，前不久还和特朗普不共戴天的共和党大佬突然不再打压，反而与特朗普把酒言欢，勉励特朗普好好干，灭了希拉里，为党国尽忠。
共和党的党内斗争怎么就偃旗息鼓了？只看中国媒体的报道，我们就会忽略很多重要事件。发掘这些“八卦”，能让我们在《纸牌屋》之外窥视更加真实的美国政党党内斗争。实际上，今年6月瑞恩不再打压特朗普反而主动为特朗普站台，可不是因为他突然想开了，要为党国大局同心协力共抗民主党强敌，而是因为自身实力不足以扛住特朗普反击，不得不主动求和。
5月5日，就在瑞恩跳上前台的第二天，面对瑞恩的挑战，特朗普阵营一巴掌抽了回去。特朗普本人表态尚属委婉，除了表示对瑞恩的言论“吃惊”之外，主要是谈论自己获得了千百万选民的支持，当之无愧得到全党支持。特朗普的新闻发言人Katrina Pierson则没那么客气，她在接受采访时表示：瑞恩不支持共和党的假定提名人，只能说明他不适合担任众议院议长。福克斯新闻主持人Sean Hannity在节目中更是露骨地讲道：“我‘没有准备好支持’瑞恩当议长，我认为我们需要一个新的议长”。
佩林直击瑞恩要害
共和党全国委员会主席普利巴斯也批评瑞恩的言论，他表示，特朗普是经党规规定程序由选民选出的假定提名人，所有共和党党员都应该支持特朗普。特朗普的前初选对手、现顾问卡森医生则谈道，他对瑞恩非常失望，瑞恩“太年轻，不成熟”。与说话含蓄的政客不同，众多特朗普草根支持者则赤膊上阵，在脸书、推特上号召：“是时候用选票终结那些不尊敬人民选择的政客的职业生涯了，让我们从保罗·瑞恩开始！”
不过，以上都算是来自特朗普阵营及其新老盟友的反击。虽然反应之迅速、来势之凶猛可能超出瑞恩预期，但总的来说应该还都是意料之中的事。可后面发生的事恐怕就要大出瑞恩所料了。
5月6日，瑞恩的两位政治盟友、共和党众议院的两名党鞭（瑞恩是议长，共和党众议院党团领袖，党鞭是其助手，协助党团领袖维护党纪、落实党的各项战略，因而一向都被视作是党团领袖的忠实盟友甚至亲信）佐治亚州联邦众议员Lynn Westmoreland和佛罗里达州联邦众议员Dennis Ross在接受politico网站采访时表示，他们难以理解瑞恩的想法，瑞恩违背了共和党的政治规矩和选民意志，他们两人都支持特朗普，他们绝不能接受瑞恩的言论。这就不妙了，瑞恩刚在特朗普得意之时（成为假定提名人）给了背后一刀，还没来得及高兴就后心一凉，发现自己腰眼上也多了两个窟窿……
5月7日，特朗普阵营又在瑞恩的后院放了一把火。特朗普阵营悍将、2008年共和党副总统候选人、“茶党女王”莎拉·佩林在CNN节目上猛烈抨击瑞恩，“瑞恩之流的问题是他们脱离把他们选上来的群众太久了”。佩林警告瑞恩，不要忘了前任众议院多数党（共和党）领袖（根据美国国会惯例，共和党是目前众议院多数党，除了一人担任议长外，还设有一名多数党领袖职位）Eric Cantor在2014年居然输掉弗吉尼亚州联邦众议员党内初选提名战的前车之鉴（Cantor贵为美国党和国家领导人居然输掉州内初选，正是因为他的对手得到了茶党的鼎力支持）。她将竭尽全力支持Paul Nehlen从瑞恩手中抢走威斯康辛州国会第1选区的共和党候选人提名资格。
枪打出头鸟，眼看特朗普对瑞恩一顿暴揍，共和党众大佬、瑞恩的小伙伴们纷纷跳船，奔向特朗普“开往春天的列车”。此前，在瑞恩发表“没准备好支持特朗普”言论的5月4日，参议院多数党（共和党）领袖麦康奈尔就高调宣布支持“共和党选民的选择”特朗普。
5月7日，曾被特朗普严重冒犯过的麦凯恩参议员突然转变口径，公开支持特朗普，赞扬特朗普会成为“出色的领袖”。有记者不解地问他怎么变得这么快？麦凯恩淡定地回答：“很多事情都有第一次。”
这一日，特朗普在接受采访时谈到，这两天有很多以前坚决反对我的政客打电话来表示支持。特朗普表示，我很困惑，“你们变得这么快，这样真的可以吗？”然而，这些政客纷纷回应：没关系，我们都很有经验，我们会处理好的……
三、握手言和，把酒言欢
众叛亲离、腹背受敌的瑞恩不得不步小伙伴们的后尘。不过，作为目前担任最高公职的共和党人，比起他的小伙伴们，瑞恩还是好好地扭捏了一番。
瑞恩和特朗普约定在5月12日会面。5月9日，瑞恩谈到，“他（特朗普）是提名人。我会尊重党的规矩，做任何他希望我做的事”。但是，他同时表示，由于与特朗普的分歧，他打算辞去党代会会议主席一职，又给特朗普出了个小难题。对此，特朗普肉麻地回应（都用上了love一词）：“我真诚热切地希望他担任会议主席”。
与此同时，特朗普阵营其他人和新支持特朗普的共和党要员对瑞恩的批评继续进行：“特朗普是共和党选民的选择，如果瑞恩不支持特朗普，他如何来做众议院共和党人的领袖？他脱离人民，将成为共和党的罪人。”另一边呢，民主党媒体在一开始曾经是瑞恩“换床”的强有力盟友，但在此时，一看瑞恩不妙，纷纷秒变围观群众，开始嘲弄瑞恩甚至落井下石。特朗普、瑞恩，反正都是共和党要员，黑谁不是黑呢？
在此情形下，5月12日瑞恩与特朗普会面，次日发表了联合声明：“我们虽然有分歧，但我们在许多重要领域形成了共识。我们将一起努力，赢得大选。”不过，瑞恩仍然没有说出“支持特朗普”。
不甘心的民主党媒体继续挑逗瑞恩，NBC在共和党选民中专门做了个“你更信任特朗普还是瑞恩”的民调，结果是超过六成共和党选民更信任特朗普，5月17日媒体问瑞恩怎么看这个结果，瑞恩的回答充分体现出了职业政客的优秀素质：“我非常高兴这么多人支持特朗普而不是我”。
之后，又扭扭捏捏了十多天。6月3日，保罗·瑞恩正式宣布支持特朗普。此后一直到10月7日，瑞恩时不时地以党和国家领导人身份点评（批评）几句特朗普言行，佩林则一直支持Paul Nehlen与瑞恩争夺议员候选人提名直到7月中旬。不过，这些都是小打小闹，充其量算是互相恶心，直到“黄段子门”爆发。
特朗普10月的反击依然犀利
四、如何理解美国政党的党内斗争？
昨天拔刀相见，今天把酒言欢，明天再背后一刀，是美国政治的常态。其实古往今来世界各国的政治莫不如此，“没有绝对的朋友，只有绝对的利益”。
在第二次总统辩论上，希拉里刚说了“我的好朋友米歇尔”，就被特朗普一句“米歇尔在2008年做过一个针对你的广告，那是我见过的有史以来对你最恶毒的攻击”呛得无言以对。今年6月都还有消息传出米歇尔希望拜登顶替希拉里参选，而奥巴马也是迟至6月才有保留地表态支持希拉里。
同样，希拉里在辩论上追问“特朗普质疑奥巴马出生地”问题，其实第一个质疑奥巴马出生地的恰恰是2008年希拉里的竞选团队（于是，又被当场呛了回去，赶紧转移话题）。
然而，这毫不妨碍希拉里和奥巴马在7月党代会上深情相拥，感动无数文艺青年。奥巴马在党代会上说，希拉里将是有史以来最合适的总统人选，比他、比比尔都出色得多（那你2008年抢人家位置干啥），而此前奥巴马对希拉里最著名的评价是：“几十年来，希拉里好话说尽，屁事不干。”（奥巴马和特朗普就此达成高度共识）
所以，斗争、团结都是常态，不值得大惊小怪。我们好奇的是背后的东西。
1、为何而斗？
瑞恩和每每跳出来的其他共和党大佬，打压特朗普的公开理由一直是“不符合保守主义价值观”。所以斗争的起源是意识形态或者说信仰？
显然不是。利益之争可以经常妥协，信仰之争却往往极少有迅速媾和的。更何况，瑞恩、麦凯恩等人在意识形态上都被划为共和党温和派，温和派就是不太注重意识形态、价值观可以妥协的意思。相反，共和党内真正的意识形态派、极度强调捍卫保守主义价值观的是茶党（经济政策）和福音派（社会政策）。
事实上，特朗普的竞选纲领和本人特质还真是不太符合茶党（特朗普是共和党经济政策最偏向“较大政府”的候选人，虽然反对奥巴马医改，但他支持全民医保）和福音派（特朗普结过3次婚，在堕胎、同性恋等议题上又是共和党内最左的）的价值观。
为了捍卫“小政府”价值观，茶党议员们曾经逼得奥巴马政府三番五次陷入关门危机、让共和党内数次爆发巨大冲突（众议长博纳下台，共和党迟迟无法推选出新议长，也就在很大程度上浪费了自己多数党地位）。按照民主党的说法，茶党议员们是把意识形态纯洁性凌驾于国家乃至共和党自己的利益之上。但茶党众将却始终没有以“不符合保守主义价值观”为由反对特朗普。
同样，2012年因为信仰冲突曾经有数百万福音派选民宁可让奥巴马连任也不出门为罗姆尼投票（罗姆尼是摩门教徒），现在碰见更不符合教义的特朗普却是默默支持。卡森医生（民主党媒体曾经爆炒卡森是“不虔诚就下地狱”的极端教义派）刚一退选就转而背书特朗普；11日，CNN采访福音派大妈对“黄段子门”的看法（在CNN预期中，极度强调清规戒律的福音派基督徒应该是极力谴责），大妈说特朗普又不是选教皇，这事算个屁。
这位大妈不仅维护了特朗普，还狂喷了克林顿。不是CNN不想操纵啊，实在是群众太狡猾，连福音派都叛变革命了
“神棍”们都觉得讲“黄段子”无所谓，一向自诩温和理性、反对宗教挂帅的温和派们怎么就突然变成了假道学呢？关键还是利益。
对共和党当权派来说，他们的选民基础在茶党崛起的冲击下已经损失惨重，在2010、2012和2014年的国会选举中，多名传统的党内密室磋商钦定的、甚至有数十年连任经历的大佬（例如前众议院多数党领袖Cantor）连共和党候选人提名都没得到，反倒是让兰德·保罗、克鲁兹、卢比奥这些无甚根基的新人打得一泻千里。现在，特朗普的崛起更会进一步收走他们所剩不多的选民基础（不太注重宗教和意识形态的选民），所以，莎拉·佩林说：“特朗普的崛起让他们害怕，他们害怕失去他们的权力、财富和地位。”
具体到瑞恩，他的国会选区可能还比较稳固（反正众议员选区很小，十几万张选票就能当选），但瑞恩早有鸿鹄之志，作为2012年的副总统候选人，瑞恩一直有2020年或2024年参选的打算。特朗普的崛起，特别是他带来的共和党选民基础和政策主张的大洗牌，则会完全打乱瑞恩筹划已久的政治布局和他习惯的密室协商。
所以，瑞恩一直试图打压特朗普以向世人展示“特朗普不靠谱，但我很靠谱，我才是党和人民的希望”。对此，莎拉·佩林在5月7日就放话：“如果共和党在今年就赢得大选，这对瑞恩的2020年（参选计划）可不是好消息。我想，这才是瑞恩跳出来的原因”。
2、靠什么斗？
政治斗争当然要靠实力。就美国政坛来说，政客最核心的实力就是精英派系和民意选票（当然还有金主和资本支持，但第一，这是个完全的黑箱状态，我们观察不到细节；第二，金主的态度和行为也会一定程度体现在前两者中）。
简单来说，为什么共和党很多政客一会把特朗普骂得十恶不赦，一会又把特朗普夸得像耶稣在世？关键就是民意选票，如果特朗普民意不错，有较大希望成为下届总统，绝大多数政客当然会纷纷支持，登上特朗普的顺风车，生怕掉队。反之，他们会毫不犹豫地反戈一击。共和党有史以来最多的初选得票（1300多万）和现在依然坚挺的民意就是特朗普的实力。
反观瑞恩，恐怕实力就差了很多。表面上看，他是担任最高公职的共和党人，国会共和党人的领袖。但实际上，他登上议长宝座还不到一年，而且他能上位的主要原因不是他有广泛并强大的派系支持，而是其他派系打得太惨烈了。
2015年9月，前任议长博纳因预算法案被克鲁兹领头的茶党议员逼得愤而辞职。按照正常程序，接任应该是众议院多数党（共和党）领袖麦卡锡。然而，麦卡锡和博纳立场相近，也是多年大佬，同样不被茶党接受，有40多名共和党议员公开发表声明反对麦卡锡，无奈麦卡锡在短暂宣布参选后又宣布退选。此时的瑞恩还是麦卡锡的主要助手，为了避嫌，他在麦卡锡宣布退选后立即宣布自己绝不谋求议长之位。然而，经过党内多方博弈，数日后他又宣布参选，并在半个月后正式当选议长。
瑞恩上位靠的是在茶党和当权派间的两边讨喜，然而，这也就意味着他没有实力雄厚的派系支持。现在的情形是，一方面，博纳、麦卡锡等人对克鲁兹的仇恨要远超特朗普，博纳在今年4月底的演讲中曾痛骂克鲁兹是“撒旦在世”，并宣布支持特朗普。如果瑞恩持续和克鲁兹等茶党议员走得过近，他的政治导师博纳和麦卡锡还会一如既往的给予支持吗？
另一方面，茶党则一步步地集合在特朗普旗下。1月，“茶党女王”佩林率先背书特朗普，并成为特朗普阵营的一员悍将；3月，曾经当权派的希望、“茶党金童”卢比奥在退选后也迅速表示对特朗普的支持；9月，就连特朗普初选最大的对手、在党代会还号召选民凭良心投票的“茶党太子”克鲁兹也宣布背书特朗普（也不知道怎么起的外号，听起来佩林好像是卢比奥和克鲁兹他妈）。9月，茶党组织Tea Party Patriots高调宣布将竭尽全力帮助特朗普赢得大选。Tea Party Patriots是美国最大的草根组织，在全国有三百万成员。兰德·保罗、克鲁兹、卢比奥等一大批人能打败共和党钦点人选和民主党对手、赢得国会席位，都在很大程度上依赖于Tea Party Patriots的支持。
并且，特朗普自己的支持者也慢慢成了气候。特朗普曾经表示，他的参选不仅仅是一次选举，更是一场运动，这场运动将彻底改变共和党和美国政治版图。不论是否胜选，特朗普参选的影响将长期持续下去，这点基本是全世界的共识，不然也不会有那么多人投入关注。
在共和党内，经历了科罗拉多州“钦定克鲁兹”事件、不断的僵局大会传言后，特朗普的支持者从5月起开始大规模地跻身并改组共和党全国委员会、各州委员会和基层组织，当权派的基层实力进一步被削弱，连任30年的麦凯恩今年竞选亚利桑那州联邦参议员反倒要邀请特朗普来站台（特朗普前几天大骂麦凯恩，当初拍我马屁原来是为了竞选，现在稳获党内提名了就过河拆桥）。
简而言之，特朗普能否干掉希拉里，很不好说，保罗·瑞恩可以借党内或党外的东风压制特朗普。但是东风过后，如果特朗普没有被压倒，瑞恩是无力独自正面对抗特朗普的。
3、曾经强大的共和党当权派为什么灭不了特朗普？
在这次美国大选中，桑德斯和特朗普都是极端异质的候选人。为什么民主党当权派能灭掉桑德斯，共和党当权派却在特朗普面前溃不成军？
这当然是多方面原因造成的。除了超级代表、政策主张、支持群体、竞选手段等多方面原因外，共和党和民主党不同的政党结构也是重要原因。共和党本就较民主党松散，2010年以来又经受了茶党的轮番冲击，掌握在当权派手中的政党机器的掌控力大幅下降。当年扛不住茶党对钦定议员提名人的挑战，现在就更扛不住特朗普对钦定总统提名人的挑战。
另一方面，共和党也有点像内战时期的国民党，当权派看似势大，但都等着别人当出头鸟，自己保存实力，相互间新仇旧恨也不少，有机会更不介意踩上出头鸟一脚。
就瑞恩来说，他最大的问题在于高估了自己，他可能常常会觉得自己是共和党共主，其实他不过只是各派系妥协的结果。看似他站出来指点江山，很多时候是被共和党其他不愿出头又想反特朗普的人当了枪使。瑞恩的悲剧在于，瑞恩有“美国朱立伦”之称，可惜“美国朱立伦”连朱立伦的实力都没有，而他想挑战的对手无论是实力还是手段都比洪秀柱强太多了。
