SAHM here. Both DH and I are happy with the arrangement. DCs are attending TT and well loved by teachers and friends. They go to sleep on time and wake up on time with no fuss. They are almost like model children. I've been able to grow our family assets 3x in the past 5 years. Meanwhile, I have full-time help with housekeeping so I have time to plan vacations for the family, fully attend to DCs every need, and still have time to make friends, volunteer in school and various organizations. I am never look down upon. No one ever asked me why I don't get a job. And everyone in my family is super happy. My kids are happy to have me drop off, pick up, be at EVERY school event, take them to doctors, playdates, shows, etc. DH is happy that he does not have to deal with doctor's appointments, pick up, drop off, vacation planing, since his job has no schedule flexibility for those things. He is grateful to come with with food on the table, kids laughing, playing, hugging and apartment clean and neat. And he is happy that he shows up at school interviews just with a smile. I wrote all applications, toured, researched, etc. I decided on schools. I bought him books to read for parenting theories, etc. And most of all, while doing all these, I am able to grow our assets- which is not less than what he brings home.
