我也不太清楚。就知道，医院的说法是。当时半夜，有人看到这些人夹着一丝不挂的我朋友在大街上。我朋友大喊大叫的，有人报警了。结果，警察来了，直接给朋友整到精神病院去了。这些人就以朋友的留着医院说是看护我朋友。朋友去了医院，就给上了镇静的药了。多了我也不知道。都是一知半解朋友说的。而且朋友还在药物控制下。也说不清楚。

1981年， 在印度当局对其加强管制之下，促成奥修搬迁到美国俄勒冈州，和他的追随者建立了公社，后来被称为 Rajneeshpuram。俄勒冈州公社在1985年拆散，因为被发现公社领导群犯有不少严重罪行，包括公社领导群在俄勒冈州达拉斯市(The Dalles)市民的食物中下毒。奥修不久被逮捕，并被控以违反移民法。他被按照辩诉交易法驱逐出美国 。他的秘书席拉(Ma Anand Sheela)则被定罪服刑。奥修收集高达90多辆的劳斯莱斯汽车也令他声名狼藉。其后21个国家都拒绝他入境，导致奥修到世界各地旅行，然后返回印度浦那，他于 1990年在浦那过世。他的聚会所今日被称为奥修国际静心度假酒店。

当选举目的达到后,拉杰尼希不再需要那些不顺服他的人,千方百计地要把他们赶出小镇。但这些人就是赖着不走，他只好把他们安排在镇子附近。不久,其中的一些人就不明不白地死去，其症状都像使用了毒品而睡死过去的。警方虽然怀疑是拉杰尼希指使人下的毒,但因证据不足，无法定罪。为了消除警方的怀疑,拉杰尼希宣布把教权移交给席拉。但他很快就发现,席拉是个野心很大的女人，不把他放在眼里。于是拉杰尼希决定复出。席拉眼看夺权无望，便席卷了教会550万美元逃到欧洲。当国际刑警在德国将她抓获时，她把奥修吸毒成瘾、诈骗、生活奢侈糜烂等一系列罪行都抖搂出来。此事最终导致了美国政府的重视，美国联邦调查局曾派出40人在安特洛普进行调查,在他们的据点发现了几个武器库,内藏有大量的武器，还有毒品生产室。此外在他们总部所在的地区附近，还发现被毒死的曾为他们争夺该小镇选票出过力的原信徒的尸体。西方传媒纷纷对此作了大量报导,认为拉杰尼希至少被判终身监禁。
拉杰尼西不久又出现在希腊的克里特岛上，欧洲一些信徒纷纷跑到那里向他朝圣。但很快他又受到希腊政府的取缔。他又试图去欧洲其它一些国家，但均遭到失败，他在欧洲苦心经营的教团和企业也都很快垮台了。万般无奈，他只好又返回印度。1989年他把名字改为奥修（osho），他们教团改称奥修静修会。1990年1月19日，拉杰尼希在印度死去。他在蒲那的教团由他20名弟子继续经营。如今奥修在西方名声已臭，一些西方学者指出:“与其说拉杰尼希是佛陀,是克里西纳，或是耶稣，不如说他最最像吉米·琼斯(人民圣殿教教主)”。
