2) They lied to me saying that they want to sublease the apartment because they're moving out of Dallas. See below two mitbbs post by them. Actually, the wife still stays in Dallas. They want to either sublease their apartment, or find a roomate. In her post, she said they rather to terminate the contract. In fact, they're still living there. They told me that usually the apartment complex won't deduct the deposit if you keep the apartment clean. So eventually I agree to pay the full deposit to them ($200).
4) The price for leasing a new apartment of their size is 900~1000 (I found out in the leasing office when I went to lease my own apartment). Their apartment is $875 for 950sqrt, mine apartment now is $1035 for 1250sqrt.
5) On the same day as I went to look at their apartment, we went to sign the new application. Which cose me an application fee. Both of us two couples went to talk with the leasing office. The agent already told us that the husband's name cannot be removed. Both of us agreed.
6) The wife still stays in Dallas, but the husband is going to Houston. He needs to find an apartment for himself in Houston. That's why we scheduled that they can give us one key on their apartment hunting trip. At that day, they gave one set of the keys to us, and we gave them the rent for Jan. "这对极品居然为了省油费,硬要让我们把钥匙送到他家" is not true. Since they were going to Houston, we both agreed that this is the best working plan.
7) It will be me, my 2year old daughter, and my parents living in the apartment. Totally 4 persons. My husband stays in Houston for his job. My aunt came to visit us one month. But already went back to China. I have the air ticket as a proof. We are not baby sitting to earn money. Originally, my parents feel that one child is too lonely and they was thinking to get a same-age child to baby sit. But I decided to sent my daughter to daycare, so we don't baby sit.
8) They came to Houston one week before I moved. If they had any concern or changed their mind, they can always inform me earlier. They didn't even tell me when I called them on the day I was moving.
9) I totally agreed that individule person has his/her own consideration towards this issue. That's why I never feel so bad that they changed their mind. Weather or not they want to sublease is their freedom. And I chose to keep scilent even if they changed their mind at the last mimute after my arrival. The thing really makes me upset is that how can you ask to be my referee after setting me in such a trouble.

1) I paid the application fee twice! (The application fee is for the leasing office) Once for their appartment, once for my current appartment. We are not in the same village. Our villages belongs to the same company. But the application fee can not be transfered.
2) On the first application (the sublease one), since we went together to the office, I list them as the referee for this perticular apartment. Then they changed their mind, and we never go to sign the lease. I found the current apartment in another village myself. How could it ever possible I will put their name as referee.
3) They knew that I won't be the only one person living in the apartment on their visit to Houston (One week before we move). They didn't change their mind at that time. They didn't changed mind on the morning I moved.
4) Let me confirm the baby sitting stuff even though this is not related. My aunt visited US to attend my graduation ceremony. Her plan stay is one and a half month. At first, my parents don't want to sent my daughter to daycare. They want to ask my aunt to stay and find another child. That's why I post the baby-sitting list. But I still prefered to send my daughter to daycare (and already got one). That's why my aunt left as schedule.
5) I never want to cheat the other lz. Therefore I never hide any facts. They can decide whether or not they want to sublease.
6) Without subleasing, we're just strangers. Leave me alone and don't ask for the referee bonus.
7) I don't know what this means. They never mention split. I'd rather ignore such amount of money and get my peace.

Jan 1 or so: They came to Houston for their aparment hunting and gave us the key. We paid the Jan. rent to them. Jan 7: I called on the morning to confirm that I was going to move. They said ok. Then I arrived. They changed their mind at 4pm. I found another apartment at 5:30pm. Feb 1: They asked where I live. Feb 7: They asked to be referal.
9) I won't hide any facts. I admit that we ask them whether they can paid half the rent for the moving day, since we're said they will schedule the moving company to come only on the same day. We also asked whether we don't need to pay the full deposit, since almost half leasing period had passed. They didn't agree. Then I said fine, no problem, not a big deal. I'll pay everything in full. ,这边有trail along the lake,每天都有很多中国人带小孩在那边玩, 过来探亲的父母
经常在那边social, 很是"国内", 呵呵.当然还有gym, tennis court
我们现在在The Green in the Village住,2b2b, 房子很大. 我们在这里住了很久,价格
都是之前签的,所以比较低.当然现在签lease的话,价格会比较高.

1) 首先正面回复一下广大群众的疑惑。那个房东mm确实没有正面问过我是几个人住。而且他们是看到我的找房贴联系我的,他们的信件里也说了,这个小区适合老人小孩居住。也提前见过我的家人,也知道我lg常驻休斯顿。那他们是应该知道会有我+小孩+父母住的吧。我承认我也忽略了这点,居然忘记正面一字一句地沟通好。至于我姨妈,计划是要回国的,不过当时可能存在变数,我也没有隐瞒。他们如果有疑问,随时可以提出,或者不出租。
2)我本来没想要sublease的。如果不是他们当时觉得自己的房子符合我的所有要求,主动跟我联系,我们也不会像今天这样掐架。反正他们想出租,我们又无所谓新租还是续租,那大家省钱,何乐而不为呢?
3) 我承认我们是有讨价,不管是房租,还是当天房租,还是deposit,但自认都是正常的询问的方式,最后也妥协了房东mm大部分的要求。房东mm大肆渲染我们的讨价行为,甚至说是争执,看了真觉得好笑。哪个人会跟让自己极度不爽的人交易?反过来,我们提出的正常的讨价,mm不愿意那就算了。我们不是也给了mm要的数吗?斤斤计较是双方的,如果非要说,我也可以说出来很多mm的不是。只是这根本不是重点。这点小事不至于让房东mm怀恨在心,伺机报复吧。还钥匙那个真是很搞笑。如果你们提前说不租了,反正我是要到dallas的,到时顺路给你们就是了。钱在你们手里,怎么可能不还?
4) 房东mm的帖子里面有编造不实事件。除非我灵魂出窍了,我人格保证,他们从来没有算错钱,我们从来没有少给钱。他们是当着我们面一边解释一边算的,怎么可能算错。虽然我lg是不帅,但是污蔑他故意不说,这个实在是太过分了。本来房东mm的其他控诉我虽然不爽,但是也无所谓。但是这条实在是太过了,捏造事实来让大家觉得我们贪便宜。
5)另外,他们说了“他们的房租便宜是因为住了很久了”。那就不是才签了半年的lease了,那我询问是否可以少给deposit,也是可以的吧。你不愿意就算了,我们也同意全还给你了,这点不能说我们太过分吧。
6) 如果我贪便宜,我就会死死揪着你还我申请费。我太懒,怕麻烦,也不想再接触房东一家,才就算了。房东mm也很厉害,可以用其他的问题来转移部分mm的注意力。我第一个控诉的帖子,不是因为房东mm不愿出租了,甚至不是因为他们临时反悔,完全是因为房东mm索要推荐费而导致的。并不是我觉得我亏了什么。
7)当时他们跟我说突然不租的时候,我都不知道回到车里怎么跟我父母解释,真担心他们生气操心。只是说,他们不租了,我们抓紧时间找房子。
8)我本来不愿意相信我是被故意涮了。现在回想起来,他们搬家说是请了搬家公司的,不至于最后时刻才通知搬家公司不搬了吧?看来还是预先就决定了的,那为什么不支一声?他们一下说要离开dallas,一下子又说回国,一下子又说lp还留在这里。看来整个要搬家的计划也是摇摆不定的。实在是想不通,为什么不提前通知。
9)因为他们说要早上才搬,搬完总得搞卫生吧。所以我们决定当天再出发。出发前通知了他们。
10)有mm问为什么我被涮了,还告诉房东mm我住在哪。我也不知道为什么哦,就是看到他发邮件问我现在住哪,觉得也许她心里过意不去,关心一下我安顿下来没有。于是才告诉她我自己租了新的房子。然后他们好几天没回信,我还觉得奇怪呢,不是关心着的吗?结果再收到,就是索要推荐费了,当时是非常气愤的。选择上huaren吐槽,就做好了会被反拍的准备。不过我自任为占理,不怕人肉,不用马甲。
11)其实任何事情,换位思考一下就知道自己的潜意识到底是支持哪边的了。如果我是房东mm,做了这些事后,被人网上吐槽,我心里虽然郁闷,但肯定是不会企图反驳的。如果我是房东mm,如果看不上对方,肯定会提前通知,并且为自己的出尔反尔道歉。如果我是房东mm,如果觉得对方过于算计,那就不要交易就是了。何苦交易后又投诉对方小气。反过来,如果版上的mm被这样涮了一把,还被要推荐费,哪个会觉得心平气和的?
12)自我反省了一下,觉得自己这件事情上的最大错误,就是他们反悔当天没有发飙。如果发飙了,他们就不会找我要推荐了,自己也就不会生闷气了。不过如果发飙了,我就没时间找到现在的房子了。
13)这件事上,我们是jp了,因为我们不愿当包子。对不同的人,就不同的方式。现在我lg每周都和别人carpool,也没见出什么问题。如果别人开的车,我们会主动多承担一些费用。房东mm的宝马,我们这些穷人,是无福消受滴。

在TI上班的话, 毫无疑问, Village是个很好的选择, 上班和生活方面都很方便的.而且
,这边有trail along the lake,每天都有很多中国人带小孩在那边玩, 过来探亲的父母
经常在那边social, 很是"国内", 呵呵.当然还有gym, tennis court
我们现在在The Green in the Village住,2b2b, 房子很大. 我们在这里住了很久,价格
都是之前签的,所以比较低.当然现在签lease的话,价格会比较高.
我们因为要搬到别的城市了,打算sublease, 不知道你有兴趣么? 如果方便可以过来看
看房子之类的

没有这个说法呀,只是说是别人肯出的最高价,可以低于820,也可以高于820。一般租房子加价的少吧。

我知道一些内情,
首先,人家只是女生带小孩和父母来,人家老公还是要留在另一个城市工作的。父母就是来帮着看看小孩,照顾一下生活,必竟一个人带小孩太累了。
这个贴子里讲的人家老公的小房子,其实是人家老公自已住的2BEDROOM的,夫妻一直两地,女滴是12月才过去暂时落下脚的哟。男滴自已住肯定不太会收拾屋子。但决对不是什么一家七口人挤一小屋子。
还有,女滴国内是一线城市的,她的父母都是快六十的人了,来过我家几次了,穿着肯定不会新潮了,但是整洁大方是一定的,按照本楼主这么看不起人的想法,我想问,你敢说你家往上推八代不是农村人?
至于什么男的长的委不委琐,不是人人都能长的像费翔。要不把你的照片拿出来让我们看看,你是怎么有潘安之美?或沉鱼落雁之风?你要是看不惯他的长相,你看到他时就别租呀。
租房子的事,我很早就问过她,她就说在找呀,后来打电话说谈到了一个,我还说过干嘛要找这种SUBLEASE的,她意思是一月份,房子不多,能有一个就不错了。 后来她开车四个多小时往新城市去的时候,我还有给她打电话,问事情都确定了吗,给新房东打电话了吗,她都说联系了,一切搞定了。 结果再晚一些,就听说房子没租到,对方出尔反尔了。 不过后来还算运气,她很快的在另一个小区租到了房。我其实很生这个说话不算数的LZ的气,我觉得从小受的教育就是说到的,就一定要做到。如果做不到,请提前通知别人,不要影响别人的时间。 但是我这个朋友她只是说算了,我这不是还租到了个更大的吗?
我觉得现在这个贴的LZ,你自已明知自已在最后的时刻反悔是错的,说不通的。 所以就找一堆理由来丑化对方。这样于情于理都是不对的。
就事论事。如果你当初觉得他们和你讨价还价不对,那为什么不在当初就反悔呢?是你太包子吗?但是看到后面,你能在人家开车到你家门前了,还有胆量反悔,我觉得你不包子。
还有送钥匙的事,这个细节我不情楚,他们没有和我讲过,但是如果你当时就觉得不爽,请当场就告知,我不想这样做,如果你们还要求我送上门,那我选择不租了。这个也没错吧。为什么要一直到最后才去反悔呢。 我敢说你在她开车往你这来的四个小时中,你心情也不是放松的吧。也得想一会怎么说怎么拒绝对方。何苦呢。四个小时你能干不少事情吧。

2) They lied to me saying that they want to sublease the apartment because they're moving out of Dallas. See below two mitbbs post by them. Actually, the wife still stays in Dallas. They want to either sublease their apartment, or find a roomate. In her post, she said they rather to terminate the contract. In fact, they're still living there. I think they find a roomate eventually.

3) They said they reduced to rent from 980 to 820. That's not true. Their rent is 875 as list in their lease. We both agreed on 810 after I saw their apartment. Since they already lived in that apartment for half the leasing period, I asked them that maybe I should not paid the deposit in full ($200). They told me that usually the apartment complex won't deduct the deposit if you keep the apartment clean. So eventually I agree to pay the full deposit to them ($200).
4) The price for leasing a new apartment of their size is 900~1000 (I found out in the leasing office when I went to lease my own apartment). Their apartment is $875 for 950sqrt, mine apartment now is $1035 for 1250sqrt.
5) On the same day as I went to look at their apartment, we went to sign the new application. Which cose me an application fee. Both of us two couples went to talk with the leasing office. The agent already told us that the husband's name cannot be removed.
Both of us agreed.
6) The wife still stays in Dallas, but the husband is going to Houston. He needs to find an apartment for himself in Houston. That's why we scheduled that they can give us one key on their apartment hunting trip. At that day, they gave one set of the keys to us, and we gave them the rent for Jan. "这对极品居然为了省油费,硬要让我们把钥匙送到他家" is not true. Since they were going to Houston, we both agreed that this is the best working plan.
7) It will be me, my 2year old daughter, and my parents living in the apartment. Totally 4 persons. My husband stays in Houston for his job. My aunt came to visit us one month. But already went back to China. I have the air ticket as a proof. We are not baby sitting to earn money. Originally, my parents feel that one child is too lonely and they was thinking to get a same-age child to baby sit. But I decided to sent my daughter to daycare, so we don't baby sit.
8) They came to Houston one week before I moved. If they had any concern or changed their mind, they can always inform me earlier. They didn't even tell me when I called them on the day I was moving.

babysitter的孩子肯定不会跟着走啦,前面算这个小孩子不可能啊。谁愿意把自己孩子送到开车四个小时外的人家啊。。。

7) It will be me, my 2year old daughter, and my parents living in the apartment. Totally 4 persons. My husband stays in Houston for his job. My aunt came to visit us one month. But already went back to China. I have the air ticket as a proof. We are not baby sitting to earn money. Originally, my parents feel that one child is too lonely and they was thinking to get a same-age child to baby sit. But I decided to sent my daughter to daycare, so we don't baby sit.
8) They came to Houston one week before I moved. If they had any concern or changed their mind, they can always inform me earlier. They didn't even tell me when I called them on the day I was moving.

这个其实是双方开始都没有说清楚是几个人住的问题。
对lz来说,实际上住的人可能不太多,就是她+父母+小孩,可是原房主去他们家里看见的是一大屋子人,当然默认是这些人都要搬来住,心里自然犯嘀咕。。。

给你参考下,姨妈应该是跟这个楼主一起搬入了达拉斯的新家(the green in the village),而且打算在家里当保姆给人看小孩,和原房主贴里说听说还给人看孩子一致,这么算下来,一个2b的房子呆那么多人,都不合法的
