美国川普14日早上在自家社群媒体平台Truth Social发文，“强烈请求”俄罗斯总统普京饶过“被包围”的乌克兰部队性命。
根据天空新闻报导与贴文，川普写到，“我们昨天与俄罗斯总统普京进行了非常良好且富有成效的讨论，这场可怕血腥的战争有非常好的机会，终于可以结束”。
不过，川普话锋一转指出，“但是，就在这个非常时刻，数千名乌克兰士兵被俄罗斯军队完全包围了，处于一个非常糟糕与脆弱的境地”。天空新闻指出，川普此处提到的乌军可能在俄罗斯的库斯克州，当地俄军一直向乌军发动攻击。
