荷兰首都阿姆斯特丹1月25日启用一座能停放7000辆自行车的水下建筑,它临近中央车站,为骑行者接驳轨道交通提供便利。

据法新社报道,该自行车库于2019年开工建设。施工者将中央车站旁边一片湖水抽干,在湖床上建好自行车库后引回湖水,使它没在水下。这一自行车库有类似传送带的移动步道与地面相连,方便骑行者进出。

该自行车库的设计企业wUrck表示,这一建筑的外墙采用玄武岩等天然石料,质地粗糙,内壁则质轻平滑,在其内部仿佛置身于一个“蚌壳”里。

荷兰负责基建事务的副部长薇薇安妮·海宁在这一自行车库启用仪式上说,在荷兰这个国土面积很小的国家,这座自行车库极大限度利用了空间。
