The statement said Bailey's office would work with the Trump administration to identify Chinese-owned assets in the state for seizure. As for farmland, the Missouri Department of Agriculture reported 42,596 acres of land owned by Chinese individuals or companies in 2023. Department spokeswoman Christi Miller said the 2024 report detailing foreign-owned farmland would come out in the next few weeks.

美国密苏里州指控中国共产党在新冠肺炎（COVID-19）时期囤积物资，联邦法官林博（Stephen Limbaugh）7日裁定中国各部门、中共须赔偿244亿8882万5457美元，并从判决当日起计算利息。
据《福斯新闻》报导，时任密苏里州检察长的施密特（Eric Schmitt），于5年前发起诉讼，指控中国“在疫情期间阻碍关键医疗设备（包括PPE）的生产、买卖和出口（obstructing the production, purchase, and export of critical medical equipment, including PPE, during the pandemic）”。
在这起官司中，中华人民共和国、中国共产党、中国国家卫生健康委员会、中国应急管理部、中国民政部、湖北省人民政府、武汉市人民政府都被密州列为被告。
一审时美国法官驳回了密州的指控，但在今年1月由上诉法院审理时，核准密苏里州的诉讼，联邦法官林博7日更裁定密州所提交的证据合理，因此上述被告必须赔偿逾244亿美元。
密苏里州现任检察长贝利（Andrew Bailey）透露，这是密州史上最高赔偿金额，是第2高的6倍左右，并且成为密州和美国追究中国向全球散播武肺责任的里程碑胜诉。
贝利说，虽然中国拒绝出庭，但并不代表他们能逃脱惩罚，他在社群平台X上向中国喊话，直指“你们欠密苏里州240亿美元（You owe Missouri $24 BILLION）”，若不还钱将扣押州内中国人名下资产和农地。
