I am writing to express my grave concern over the current administration's handling of the spy balloon situation. The President's weak response to this matter constitutes a clear violation of the trust and responsibility that comes with holding the highest office in the land.
The President's failure to properly dispose of these spy balloons poses a significant threat to the security and privacy of American citizens. This constitutes a breach of the Fourth Amendment and undermines the fundamental rights and freedoms that this country was built upon.
In light of these serious and deeply concerning issues, I urge you to take immediate action and begin the process of impeaching the President of the United States. 美军击落闯入领空的中国间谍气球，令北京震怒抗议。美媒针对中国可能的下一步行动访问多名前官员等专家，有人认为中国只想轻描澹写带过，顶多嘴上说说，不会出手报复；但也有人认为，近日需格外小心中共进一步挑衅，甚至可能干扰美方回收残骸的作业。
《福斯新闻》报导，美国国防部东亚事务前副助理部长柯海诺（Heino Klinck）4日分析，中共将声称自己完全无辜，重申这颗气球仅用于气象研究，同时指控美国击落行动属于挑衅行为，和往常一样否认自身错误。
曾派驻北京的柯海诺不认为中国会採取实际攻击行动，但可能在言语上咄咄逼人，试图推卸责任，并点出接下来值得观察的是“中国如何定位自身与台湾的关系”，预料北京侵犯台湾领空的行动会变得更有攻击性。
华府智库“美国企业研究所”（AEI）高级中国研究员库柏（Zack Cooper）不认为北京会因为气球被击落出手报复，“我认为中国领导人会希望息事宁人，所以我预期最多会有一份简短的公开声明，然后就会努力重新安排与布林肯的会晤。”
库柏指出，气球事件不会对美中双边影响力带来重大影响，但考量到布林肯行程紧凑，且中国即将召开全国人民代表大会，短期内恐怕很难安排访问。
川普时期国防部政策次长安德森（James Anderson）则认为，中国将继续声称美国反应过度，“此举是为转移大众目光，不去注意他们严重挑衅、侵犯美国领空及国际法的事实”，甚至可能进一步挑衅，“华府需要保持警惕，准备在国内外坚决捍卫国家安全利益。”
安德森警告，未来几天可能出现一艘以上解放军船隻，试图干扰美国打捞气球残骸，“若发生这种情形，美国军舰完全有理由送入侵者通往海底的单程票。”
