加拿大破产监管办公室（The Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy）周三公布的数据显示，3月份有12,203起破产案，高于2022年3月的9,513起。这一数字也比今年2月的9526起增加了28.1%。
这一增长是由于加拿大人面临着更高的利率和通货膨胀，这些因素推高了生活成本，使家庭预算捉襟见肘。
3月份的消费者破产数量达到11,768起，高于2022年3月的9,195起和2023年2月的9,222起，创下了自2019年年底以来的最高水平。
