that’s what Warren so called “freeloader”. if paying billions tax (not including taxes from thousands Tesler employees, Tesler investors) is called freeloader, what is Warren herself? Democrats want to kill one of the best mind in the country but want to open the border, defund the police, cancel yhe cash bail for criminals, anyone still want to vote for democrats?
Warren really picks a wrong fight. Elon Musk ex revised his options and those are counted as regular income like millions of us who has own options. those easily top 37% plus some 3.8%, plus state income tax. so easily 50% of those money are given to government. it’s the capital gain tax may need to be informed for super rich like Buffet, hedge fund managers, those people make billions from capital gains which is only taxed 25% maximum, which could be lower than his secretary. why don’t congress raise the capital gain for super rich people? because those are donors for the democrats party!
this just shows how clueless Senator Karen is. it’s a shame Harvard produces this type of professor, and it also shows how wrong to let academic people to run the country

路透社报导，马斯克这周稍早与民主党参议员华伦（Elizabeth Warren）陷入缴税的口舌之争。华伦当时在推特发文说，马斯克获选为”时代杂志”（Time）年度风云人物后，他应该纳税并停止”从其他所有人身上揩油”。
马斯克当时回应：”如果你把眼睛睁开看2秒钟，你会明白我今年缴的税将超过史上任何一位美国人。”
美国财经内幕（Business Insider）上周报导，马斯克今年可能必须上缴120亿美元税金，这是根据他在特斯拉的持股、将近10亿美元的净投资收入税（NIIT），以及要缴给加州州政府的税金计算。
财经内幕指出，相较于马斯克今年大笔税金账单，他过去缴交的税金，相比于财富简直是九牛一毛。
非营利调查新闻机构ProPublica今年6月公布调查显示，马斯克在2014年至2018年，总计仅上缴4.55亿美元税金，但这段期间他的资产却增加高达139亿美元。他在2018年并没有缴交联邦所得税。
马斯克是全球首富，他的特斯拉公司价值约1兆美元。过去几周，马斯克出售价值近140亿美元的特斯拉持股。
