junzi, (Chinese: “gentleman”; literally, “ruler’s son” or “noble son”) Wade-Giles romanization chün-tzu, in Chinese philosophy, a person whose humane conduct (ren) makes him a moral exemplar.
Evil Men
Ezekiel 25:17
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
1.a villain(惹祸的人,为害者)
2.a scumbag(卑鄙小人、无耻之徒)
3.a backstabber(背后捅刀子的人)
4.a despicable person(卑鄙之人)
5.a vile character(邪恶的角色)
6.a small-minded person(心胸狭窄之人)
7.a petty individual(小气狭隘的人)
junzi, (Chinese: “gentleman”; literally, “ruler’s son” or “noble son”) Wade-Giles romanization chün-tzu, in Chinese philosophy, a person whose humane conduct (ren) makes him a moral exemplar.
而西方的“gentleman”的定义是这样的:a man who is polite and well educated, who has excellent manners and always behaves well(彬彬有礼,有教养)。
我还想过这些词:“the scholar”,“the good man”,“the superior man”,也缺少点味道。
