“上海万圣节嘲讽时事的装扮,现在又变成文化论战作文比赛…”刚结束不久的万圣节活动,在上海引发一系列的后续效应。上海从10月底连日都有万圣节扮装活动,不过万圣夜当天在上海巨鹿路、延安中路等地的游街,出现各种揶揄时事、嘲讽社会现实的扮装,诸如扮成防疫人员大白替人做核酸、或是最近风波不断的李佳琦、还有《霸王别姬》电影中遭到批斗的程蝶衣。这些现象该如何解读?从社群舆论到中国官媒,出现了各自表述的文化论战。
上海从10月28日到31日,接连都有万圣节相关活动,但有关于万圣节的话题,一直到11月2日都还有不少讨论。关注的焦点,是在10月31日万圣夜,上海巨鹿路、延安中路等地出现各类奇异扮装,除了万圣夜常见的鬼怪类型,更多了“中国特色的恐怖”——像是防疫期间最著名的“大白”医护人员,在万圣夜的街头上四处替人做核酸检测(讽刺的是,这些扮装者后来还被现场的警察带走,围观群众爆出一阵笑声,又变成了一幕魔幻荒谬的景象)。
还有人扮成“决战双11”的加班员工、准备高考的痛苦学生,或是因为直播带货却被质疑眉笔卖太贵,结果失言引发风暴的李佳琦,也变成这次万圣节扮装的主题之一。还有被中国舆论认为“跋扈专横”、形象恶劣的歌手那英,出现在扮装游行的队伍行列(因为连讲话应答都实在太像了,现在被中国网友戏称为“这英”)。
可以看得出来,各种扮装带有一种嘲讽时事的意味。而之中也不乏看似意有所指、触及政治的主题,像是有人扮装成鲁迅,手持牌子写着“学医救不了中国人”,并且高声朗读起了鲁迅的作品,只是同样也被警察请走带离。
另外还有人扮装成电影《霸王别姬》里的程蝶衣(原剧角色由张国荣饰演),完整的虞姬造型,但表现的是剧中程蝶衣遭到文革批斗的场景,胸前挂着牌子“打倒程蝶衣”。这个扮装旋即成为中国社群的热门话题,有人认为这是在讽刺时下政治社会的气氛,很接近文化大革命时期;不过这张上海街头的程蝶衣,在11月2日时已经无法从微博上正常浏览,遭到屏蔽。
这是在历经2022年极度高压的疫情封锁、突然爆发的白纸运动、以及防疫全面放开之后,上海“恢复正常生活”的万圣节活动。但也和过去的社会讨论类似,这是不是一种“西方文化入侵”,就常常成为议题批判的箭靶;特别是这次出现对时事的讽刺,也让中国社群上正反意见纷陈。
微妙的是,前《环球时报》主编胡锡进,在11月1日特地发文,认为大众不用过于苛责,这是“年轻人的创意”、还是一个“中国文化改造西方节日”的现象,胡在标题写下“万圣夜上海巨鹿路人山人海”:
“我是觉得,怎么看上海万圣节今年‘中国化’的现象,这可以讨论。但是年轻人需要多有一些标志性凑热闹、别出心裁出风头、无拘无束释放情绪的机会,它是现代都市里趋势性的需求之一,对它的最好做法不是堵,而是疏。
…,我们的社会总体上偏严肃,纪律性强,这有我们的内在逻辑和优势。然而什么事情都是辩证的,宽松与释放同样是社会和谐的内在要素之一,对实现平衡不可或缺。上海万圣节比较活跃,已经成为这个现代都市的一个包容符号,我认为舆论在围观它的同时,无需给这个符号施加压力,试图约束它。”
胡锡进将之视为社会压力的出口,反而有正面效果。呼应这个说法的,还有官媒《解放军日报》,“年轻人工作压力挺大,需要发泄情绪的渠道,也可以理解。正如今年现场一位coser所说,借着节日在平凡而又枯燥的生活里找一点乐趣,又有什么好苛责的呢?”
这样的说法,虽然让万圣节的扮装活动撑出更多空间,但一方面也把对现实的讽刺,淡化成“年轻人找乐子”,说这些活动无伤大雅、不用苛责的背后,其实也弱化了那些可能的嘲讽力道。在微博上的讨论里,也有人将上海万圣节变成了一种情感投射,“这次上海的万圣节让我们看到,中国年轻人的想像力还在,幽默细胞还在,勇气还在,讽刺意义以及批判精神还在,国家希望还在。”
