日前一位华人在蒙特利尔的一家超市内遭到种族主义的“控诉”。一名陌生女子质问称，“这场疫情会发生都是因为你们中国人。”

麦先生（音译，Ken Mak）近日和女友在一家超市内准备结账时，一位陌生女子向他走来。
“这位女士站在我后面推了推我，并问我是不是中国人，我回答说‘是的’”，麦先生表示。“接着她开始质问一系列和疫情有关的事。”
起初麦先生还以为她只是想问些问题，但后来发现她变得越来越有攻击性。
“她开始一个人滔滔不绝地说起来，还拉下口罩，向我靠近。” 麦先生说道。于是他拿出手机，把事发经过拍下来。

视频中可以看到，该女子一面指指点点，一面大声说道，“这整整21个月的bull****...都是因为你们中国人。”
她还朝店员说，“我永远不会尊重现在的这些bull****。”
店员回答说，“你不尊重任何事。”

在店员请她离开超市时，她还依旧向超市内的其他人控诉此事，嘴里不停念念有词。

对于此事，这家超市发布声明称，“我们对顾客做出这种毫不尊重他人的行为感到痛心和难过。在这种情况下，我们已经要求这位顾客离开我们的商店。我们也联系了当地政府，来协助此事。”
已经移民加拿大20年的麦先生表示，对于这次遭遇感到“震惊”，因为“加拿大是一个包容性很强的国家。”
自疫情发生以来，在蒙特利尔的亚裔就一直呼吁，要对日渐增长的种族歧视提高警惕。麦先生表示，“我把这件事拍下来就是要告诉人们，这类事情正在发生，是真实存在且需要被制止的事。”
麦先生还表示，反亚裔的种族歧视在加拿大成立的早年期间就存在。但由于首个新冠病例在中国被发现，更加剧了这种仇恨。
“从那时开始，亚裔就成了这场疫情的替罪羊。”
