Governor Dan Patrick has announced the state’s intention to purchase all available segments and hand them over to President-elect Donald Trump. The announcement came Thursday evening, shortly after reports revealed the Biden administration’s move to sell the materials at government auctions in its final weeks in power.
The controversy erupted when Daily Wire reporter James Lalino released footage showing unused wall segments being hauled away from the southern border near Tucson, Arizona. The materials, which were intended for use during the Trump administration’s border security efforts, are now being sold at prices as low as $5 per piece.
