If China attacks Taiwan, it will set off a battle between China and U.S./Japan/Taiwan. Taiwan will not face China alone in a war. China better be prepared to fighting an all-out war with the US. If china believes it can beat the US, then by all means it can take over TW. Otherwise, Chinese will have to accept that its economy will be dialed back for decades.

I don't think so. If the US not daring to fight directly with Russia in Ukraine, it will not risk hundred of thousands of American life's to fight against China for Taiwan. Instead, it will sent weapons and intelligent information to Taiwan and inciting it's allies such as Japan, Korea to clash against China. BUT either way, China doesn't care.

中国“联合利剑”军演针对台湾模拟所谓“精确打击”在周日进入第2天，路透今（9）日报导引述掌握区域安全情势的知情人士透露，中国一直在台湾西南外海模拟空中和海上攻击“外国军事目标”，而“台湾不是他们（共军）的唯一目标”、“这是非常挑衅的”。
据台湾国防部监控，中国解放军持续于台海周边军演，自9日上午6时至下午4时止， 计侦获共军各型战机70架次，包括苏恺30、歼11、轰6，其中逾越中线及进入西南、东南空域35架次；共军军舰增至11艘次。
国防部表示，台湾国军特别注意中国负责陆基导弹系统的解放军火箭军动向，“针对共军火箭军部队动态，国军亦透过联合情报、监控及侦察系统绵密掌握，（台湾）防空部队保持高度警觉”；并重申台湾军方依“不升高冲突、不引发争端”原则，适切应对中国军演。
报导引述国安消息人士指出，中国及台湾的军舰共约20艘在敏感的台湾海峡中线附近对峙，中、台军舰各占一半（10艘），但双方尚属克制、没有挑衅行为。
消息人士表示，中国航舰山东号现在约位于台湾东南海域超过400海里处，正实施演练。台湾军方从过去一周持续监控山东号的动向。
中国官媒央视9日曝光最新画面显示，共军“徐州舰”今天上午在台湾东部海域与我国海军“宜阳舰”对峙，两舰目视距离约5海里；共军山东舰航舰编队已前出至台湾东部，徐州舰今日亦在台湾以东海域实施战术动作。
中国军事科学院研究员赵小卓9日对中共喉舌“环球时报”表示，这是中国首次公开谈论以台湾为目标的模拟攻击，对台打击目标将包括跑道、军事后勤设施、移动性的重要目标等基础设施，“必要时一举歼灭”。
中国为期三天环绕台湾的军演将持续到10日，中国解放军东部战区的部队在台湾周围部署了数十架战斗机和军舰，这被认为是对台湾总统蔡英文和美国众议院议长麦卡锡会晤后的愤怒武力展示。
