During the call, Musk explained that the vehicle’s unique design, which has long been its most controversial element, has made it difficult to scale up production. This doesn’t come as a complete shock, since the executive has previously warned that the Cybertruck wouldn’t be ready for “volume production” until 2024. Musk now says it will take 18 months for the production line to be working at full capacity—at which point it will be able to build 250,000 vehicles per year—pushing that target back to 2025. That means the truck won’t become “cashflow positive” until the second half of the decade at the earliest.

美国电动车大厂特斯拉(Tesla)2019年发表超前卫皮卡“Cybertruck”,以不鏽钢打造,加上彷彿来自异世界的科幻风格,一登场就吸引全球车迷目光,不过整辆车却始终停留在概念阶段。经过4年的等待,如今特斯拉总算成功实现构想,宣布首批共10辆Cybertruck将在明天(30日)正式交付给顾客,预计2025年开始进入量产。
美国广播公司(ABC)报导,特斯拉宣布,Cybertruck交付仪式将在美东时间30日下午3时,于德州奥斯汀(Austin)的超级工厂举行,届时不仅股东们有机会亲临现场,近距离感受新车,特斯拉也将同步进行转播,与众多粉丝共享喜悦。
有别于市面上其他皮卡粗犷、实用的外观,Cybertruck自2019年发表以来,便以充满未来感的风格吸引车迷注意,加上车身玻璃在发表会上一砸就烂,让马斯克出尽洋相之外,也成功引起不少关注,在全球创造破百万张订单。
Cybertruck最吸引人之处,莫过于它的不鏽钢外壳,除了强调一体成型,也号称不会产生凹痕,材质坚固“媲美防弹等级”,却也因为难以制造,导致交付期一再延后,就连马斯克本人都表示,当初会决定开发Cybertruck,根本是“自掘坟墓”。
规格方面,Cybertruck皮卡内部空间极为宽敞,可供6个成人乘坐,并依动力系统不同推出3款车型,可分别拖曳3.4吨、4.5吨、6.3吨重量,续航力从402公里到804公里不等。价格根据先前发表会上所称,落在3.9万美元至6.9万美元之间,相当具有优势,不过实际量产后是否会调整,仍有待官网进一步公告。
