However, China has a very good chance to push India into the arm of the US-led anti-China camp. India is already a member of the QUAD. In the future, it could join the Asian NATO as well.

中国与印度在领土问题上的争议已经严重影响到了两国关系。在最近的一场国际会议中，印度防长辛格逐一向与会的各国防掌握手时，却唯独跳过了中国防长李尚福的手，显见对中国余恨未消。
2020 年中印在边境加勒万河谷冲突，让两国关系一落千丈。近日中国外长秦刚同印度外长苏杰生在进行会谈时，就目前中印边界分歧进行了充分的讨论，但苏杰生态度却略显强硬，要求中国满足印度的条件。
在 4 月 28 日上合组织成员国国防部长会议召开期间，中国国防部长李尚福同印度国防部长辛格进行了会谈。辛格直接强硬表态，中方违反两国边境协议，同时边境驻守大量士兵。
而在辛格同其他国家防长进行会晤时，都会有握手的环节，但到了中国防长却直接跳过，给中印关系带来了消极信号。
印度敢对中国如此强势，最关键的还是希望能够保持“适度紧张”，让美国能够慷慨解囊，为印度提供更多想要的支援。但是印度这种摇摆不定的态度，却直接将俄罗惹恼。
据媒体报导，目前俄罗斯对于印度加入“四方同盟” Quad 非常不满，而这一组织的目标实际上就是台海。俄国防长绍伊古表示，这就是美国用来围堵中国的工具。
